This is a calm, quaint little restaurant that is full of simplicity and warmth. The food is not rich, simply made and tasty and fresh. It's popular for take away orders but I enjoy dining in. The restaurant has simple, neat decor and is very well lit. It's good for a large group, with prior reservations made. It is also a good stop for a quick lunch or dinner when travelling up the central coast.
The restaurant can accommodate small modifications on their dishes if you have dietary restrictions or requirements.
All dishes are made to a certain standard of taste and freshness so I am not particularly recommending any. I can confidently say that all items on the menu are flavourful.
The kitchen is right next to the seating area so you can get all the fragrance and the smell of cooking sometimes 😁 It is not annoying but keeps the experience real. I don't mind it but it's there!
The drinkware, crockery and cutlery are very clean and spotless. Love that! ❤️
Overall, it offers a good experience for a very reasonable price. I keep visiting time and again. 😊 I recommend the in-person dining experience more than home delivered food from them.

Read moreWe recently moved to Kariong and gave “the local Chinese” a go and so glad we did! We have had takeaway delivered from here a few times now and I’m absolutely blown away by the service every time. Such a lovely experience from start to finish. (Not to mention quick) As soon as I opened my door, I was greeted with genuine warmth. (By not one but two people, one introducing the new delivery driver for the restaurant) Was great they even gave my dogs some attention which is rare for when you have food delivered. How cool.
We ordered satay chicken (so flavourful and tender!), prawn omelette (light and fluffy with juicy prawns), cheeseburger spring rolls (my kids loved these and they were surprisingly delicious), and honey prawns (crispy, sweet perfection). Everything was fresh, hot, and clearly made with care.
It’s rare to find a place where the food and the people are equally fantastic — we’ll absolutely be back....
Read moreI’ve got a fancy credit card that gets me a table at the best, fanciest restaurants anywhere in the world. This is not one of them. The tables are not pressed linen, I don’t even think there is a wine list, the cutlery is not fine silver, however the food is exceptional. It’s like finding a fantastic restaurant in Hong Kong 30 years ago. It’s like eating 5 star in Shanghai without the price tag, not that it matters. Don’t expect a waiter with attitude, you may get a local kid, the husband and wife team that are the heart and soul of this place are wonderful, take my word on that. Take away’ s keep me going since Covid. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The prawns are exceptional, the chicken, pork or beef would easily replace that, but the prawns, ginger and shallots would be my...
