Food was hot and fresh. My favourite was the satay chicken - I will definitely be back for it again!

I also want to take the opportunity to respond to a previous review by Koi Felix, who made comments about “food softener” and “msg” being used because it isn’t fresh.

What you’re calling ‘food softener’ is actually a classic Chinese cooking technique called velveting. It’s a method of marinating meat (often with cornstarch, egg white, or baking soda) so it stays tender when cooked — the same way pounding a steak with a mallet makes it juicy instead of chewy. Different cultures, different techniques, same end goal.

As for MSG — science has repeatedly shown it’s safe to eat. The whole ‘MSG is bad’ narrative actually has a pretty racist history rooted in the vilification of Asian food in the U.S. So saying ‘good food doesn’t require MSG’ isn’t just inaccurate, it’s playing into a stereotype that’s been debunked for decades.

So maybe next time, instead of assuming unfamiliar techniques or seasonings mean ‘low quality,’ consider that you might just be tasting a different food culture doing its thing… and...

Dreadful takeaway experience. Unfortunately ownership has changed hands and what was previously a reliable, old-school local Chinese has turned into slapped together inedible fare. Waited an additional 40min for order pickup, half of which was cold by the time it was ready. We were a group of four who ordered a variety of dishes. We have no complaints. The meals were full of fresh vegetables and each had its own unique tasty flavour. The meals with meat were tender, a very generous size and a good price. The menu offers a wide range of choice.
