Local residents have been without a shop for 3 or 4 years as the longtime general store come post office/newsagency closed due to financial constraints of way too high rent of the premises. Well the location is now the Nords Wharf Trading Post and very well patronised by is local residents. It's different to how it was. Now it's more like a meeting place with coffee, tea and a variety of food options to wash it down with while catching up with friends. There is variety of general store options too that are more convenient than driving 10 or more k's to get the same thing a few cents cheaper. What a nice little surprise this was!

We took a chance seeing the little "Coffee!" Sign on the highway and weaved our way through some pretty residential streets to find this little lakeside cafe.

It's part general store part trendy coastal cafe, and the quality and presentation of both the food and the coffee is sensational and not at all what we expected from the unassuming shopfront in a sleepy lakeside village,

The cafe owner is also a fantastic storyteller and all in all we had a lovely breakfast rounded out for my daughter with a play in the park opposite, right on the lake.

This is now without a doubt our cafe of choice on this part...
