Location: Oliverās Real Food, Caltex Stopover F3 Fwy, Northbound Wyong, NSW, 2259, Australia.
Service: Machines to take your order now which makes things a lot less personal. However you can still order at he counter. We did have to wait quite a long time for our order & it did not seem as though they were that busy.
Decor: it looks as though it has been redone recently. Good size tables inside with plenty of chairs. Lots of things in the store for purchase.
Atmosphere: Busy truck stop place.
Bathrooms: Big, but they were shocking and the worst I have seen at any Oliverās store. There was so much water on the floor it was extremely dangerous, mixed with hair and dirt the floors were disgraceful.
Value for money: Good, for excellent fresh food.
Drinks: N/A.
Food: Dmitry had the Veggie Patch Pocket & Kayleen had the All day Omelette with Sourdough Toast. Both are always very good, but with the omelette being freshly made and a very good serving it has to be the winner at any time of day at any Oliverās.
Synopsis: Great fresh food alternative to horrible truck stop takeaway food. And their tag line of ādo you want beans with thatā shows their desire to be a true change for the best with food selections on the road. Well worth the visit, even at the super busy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGeez I thought this place would be a good alternative to macdonalds, especially being vegetarian, but with very few decent vegetarian options and with pre wrapped food that has no option to be altered. The only thing it has going for it is that it is healthier than the servo or maccas food near by, I was actually more inclined to spend more here until the exorbitant price hike. Why oh why does it cost close to $10 for a banana smoothie, regardless if they are organic this exorbitant, Maybe Jason gunn needed a few new fancy rings. With the cost of everything else rising how about a business with ethics that's not just trying to look after the countries highest earners, sure a a healthy alternative but come on where' the threshold this is capitalism at it's finest, get a second mortgage as you enter(not just the Wyong store olivers in general) Lastly apologies to the workers as I am assuming pricing out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOlivers used to be the best. Those lamb pitas were amazing and the whole place had a sense of hope and an actual care for nutrition in a world which just wants things fast and doesn't care what's in it.
However, as much as I want it to do well, Olivers has the feeling of something which is defunct and just holding on.
Specifically: They keep changing their menu and even the composition of the things within the menu, e.g. the lamb pita is totally different now The atmosphere is depressing, it's confusing if you should order on a screen or with a person, the whole place just has this weird ghost town vibe The service is excessively slow. It was slow before but worth it because the food was good and it wasn't TOO slow. Now it is really slow, enough I no longer look forward to going there.
I really like Olivers and I look forward to updating my review in the future if there is...
