Edit: updating my review to say that this particular bateau bay restaurant has since gotten some much needed new management. The new manager is incredible and it’s like a night and it’s like a night and day difference. I have had my deliveries delivered to me by the manager personally. He always listens to me and makes sure that the ingredients I ordered is what I get. When he came to deliver my last order he even got me to check the pizza before he left to make sure it was as ordered.
I’m so glad I gave this franchisee another chance after the awful experiences I had been having for a while. If you stopped ordering with them because of ongoing issues I recommend giving them another go!
Old review:
Rude
I wish to file a complaint about Pizza Hut Bateau bay. I ordered an order with a buy one get one free drink of a Vanilla Coke. The driver ended up arriving to my place with a bottle of drink that I didn’t ask for. I politely asked him to take it back to the store because it wasn’t what I ordered. I called the store to file a complaint and the manager said he would send someone around with another bottle of Vanilla Coke. Four hours later I still hadn’t received anything and I called the store to ask what was happening with my drink that I was promised. I was told that the driver had informed that he didn’t want to deliver the drink because I was “misbehaving” on what planet is it “‘misbehaving” to send back a drink to the store that I didn’t order???? When I asked to file a complaint about the driver the manager rudely said that he didn’t want to hear my complaint and I could file...
Read moreFirst of all we have been long-term customers of the Cresthaven store. My hat tips off to the weekend workers, who always make excellent pizza mostly on time and have great customer service, compared to the weekday workers.
The main reason we have stopped coming is because you don't answer the phone during peak hours, although we repeatedly call. This is a very frustrating experience and basically makes us order from a competitor even though we don't enjoy their pizza as much. You are loosing customers and money when you don't do this. Even if you answered the phone and put us on hold, we would be happy to wait, but to be completely ignored is upsetting.
Furthermore, we are usually directed to a call centre to make the order your behalf. However this usually proves to be unsuccessful because there's a clear language barrier and we order a Garlic Cheese base which apparently cant even be processed through the call centre, so then we are transferred to the store , only to be redirected back the call centre. And to make matters worse we have been hung up on by the customer centre multiple times! A vicious and pitiful cycle.
The amount of time wasted, just to remain a loyal customer and maintain your business has been a blunder. You need to create more effective ordering and training procedures or you wont be a business for...
Read moreI think it was Plato or maybe Picasso who said "never judge a DVD based on its Rotten Tomatoes score" and those wise words ring true for Pizza Hut Bateau Bay. A 2.8 rating was concerning as were some of the reviews, but I wasn't deterred and really hungry for some pie so I soldiered on in. What I found was a helpful team wearing wide smiles. I ordered a medium deep pan Hawaiian. While I waited there was a bit of fun when a customer asked for a pick-up for 'Kerry'. The staff member got the order for 'Garry'. We all laughed and once the confusion subsided Kezza was on his way with what looked like a large Supreme and a few cheaky sides he was planning to demolish in the car on the way home. My pizza arrived in 10 minutes and was hard to fault. I'm a sauce lover - I'll admit it - so my pie could've had some more of that delicious marinara on it but overall it was well topped and I was satisfied during the eating session. Most of the negative comments have been around delivery - something I can't comment on - but I will return one day. When exactly? That's a tough question to answer. Maybe Friday. Or October....
