South Kempsey Corner Store — Restaurant in New South Wales

If you ever need a case study for when the union needs to get involved. Here's the place. Abuse, micro manipulation, recgnotigion to the wrong staff, aggressions, and, that's just the start, not to mention the cross contamination and horror stories of staff pleading to go to hospital and then being harassed for it.... This place had me at my wits end I'm that petty I'm leaving this review because it's actually really disgusting to see. So much potential. So much abuse. The male chefs were holding that place together. And I honestly miss serving my favourite tradies ervy morning. The way you treated us was disgusting. No wonder such a quick turnaround. Also if the people only knew the state of that kitchen with certain staff on. i really feel sorey for those who are still putting up with it and couldnt find another job so quickly like me. :/

Stopped here on my way to the Gold Coast and so glad I did. This place has everything you need to feed you, refresh you and lift your spirits. The menu is spot on. Cooked fresh and probably the best bacon and egg roll I've ever had. The damper roll was the hero. The friendly, polite, bearded guy who served me called me by name as soon as he asked for my coffee preference and called every customer by name while I was there. These little things are what lifts my day. If you're a local, you probably know about this gem already and you're so lucky to have it. I don't like to give bad reviews so l am giving 3 stars so as not to add hurt to the business (as l always hope eateries survive). l would really give 1 star...ordered a cheese & tomato toastie which is usually something almost any cafe should do safely well .. not here..on the cheapest sliced white bread that squashed to nothing with undetectable cheese.... everything a toastie shouldn't be...absolutely loveless. And all items including coffees are served in take away containers even though eating there .. But the place seems to do ok, as there are slim pickings in Kempsey ....a huge hole there, especially in any healthy or interesting food & also style. This one at least has potential but definitely needs...
