My family and I came here on holiday and loved the gardens. We tried out their iced coffee and it was so delicious so we decided to drive 30mins the day after just to grab coffee. The day we are about to leave, we came back again on the drive back to Sydney for our 4th coffee, our 3rd visit. I was served by a man with a shaved/ very short hair. I waited at the counter for 10mins to be served but was ignored. When I asked him if I could order with him at the counter as I had one the previous times before he said I needed to order with one of the waitresses. I then went and lined up where there were a line of ppl wanting to order. I made my order and waited for my coffee. When I finally saw him making my coffee it was literally a shot of milk, half a shot of expresso and about an inch of cream. If I was thirsty I could of had that in 1 big sip. It was about 1 inch off the rim so I asked if I could have some milk added to it. He huffed and took the coffee and added some milk. I had cake and 2 jars of jams so I had to ask for a tray otherwise there was no way I could carry it all without dropping something. I regret coming back on my last day coz it ruined my whole experience for the previous 2 times I came. I waited 35mins for my coffee and waited another 10mins to be served. As I was on the way home I realised there was no ice cream in my iced coffees, though I specifically asked for ice cream and cream in my coffees. I then gave reception a call and asked if they used liquid ice cream or something and they said they used scooped ice cream and within less then 5mins there was no way it could have melted. She said she would check with the batista and call me back but I never recieved a call back. It took me an 1hr drive round trip and 45mins of waiting for service and my coffee. If you come on a sunny day don't expect good food and service. It's rushed and quality and serving sizes are very...

Hello Curious Reader,

I only have a very disappointing 3 star review for this restaurant café purely for my specific which was the prawn pasta with a white wine and lemon dish,

The dish didn't actually come with any basil nor did it come with any sauce, the flavour of lemon and white wine wasn't present in the dish, whilst the pasta being very bland was disappointing, all of the ingredients that was described on the menu didn't match the dish whatsoever so I highly suggest you don't purchase this.

I kindly requested the waitress if it could be taken back have more sauce added and please add basil this time.

It came back with probably one big leaf of basil which was again disappointing and still no sauce with no lemon or white wine flavour.

If I had the choice I probably would swap it out for a casual burger and chips as that's quite hard to fail as hard as this dish did.

On the other hand the second dish I ordered was the grilled chicken salad served with Vietnamese rice noodles and a sweet chilli sauce, this dish came out splendid and fitted the description well I would recommend it, it's simple and easy to execute and nourishing.

If it wasn't for this dish I would have rated it a simple and not easy for me to do 2 stars

The service was good and the grounds had a great ambience to it and the amenities were spectacular which was disappointing that one dish let...

It’s not just the food but also behaviour of the staff that makes up a good cafe experience. Although the food was good, this review is not about that. We had a very poor experience with two of the staff members. On approaching the front of the cafe for a table, we were initially told it’s a long wait and were recommended to go to the take away line. While I and my little one was standing there, my husband went back to check if any table had gotten free, and was told to come back in 20 minutes and that she would free up a table for us. So we go back 20 minutes later and were blatantly refused a table and were asked to get to the back of the line all over again, by the same person !

They had never mentioned “Try again” rather told us that we would be assigned a table in 20min!! There were visibly tables available but the staff just wasn’t ready to assign one to us! She behaved very rudely and started making faces as if she was doing a favour by letting us have a table. If you do not know how to manage the walk in queue, do not have them in the first place and make everything reserved. It’s the most basic management aspect of any restaurant. Also please teach your staff how ones needs to behave with customers. Do not make your customers wait unnecessarily though there are unreserved tables available , just to...

Very limited vegan option -- only 1 vegan option: 2 slice of bread with spread of choice. I asked if they can veganise anything else (particularly the big vegetarian breakfast). The waiter said the chef can do it for me. Now, the vegetarian breakfast was egg, buttered mushroom, tomato relish, salad, and 2 slice of bread. So I expected them to replace the egg with more salad/mushroom and oiled, instead of buttered, mushroom. Alas, what I got was a plate of green salad with tomato relish and two piece of bread, no mushroom on sight! And that is for $21 -- the same price with vegetarian option. I was really disappointed, especially that I waited for an hour for that. I could have just gotten the original vegan item (the 2 slice of bread and jam) on the menu for $9 twice and they would be a little bit more fulfilling than the veganised "big" breakfast. Re: waiting time, they may be understaffed because it was public holiday when I visited, but it's no excuse for the food.
