If you are escaping Sydney for a weekend, for money or for love then boy do I have the cafe for you up north. After a nephews wedding over which I presided, I found myself peckish and needing nourishment. My companions and I were tossing between the “Saddles” eatery or this, and settled on this fine establishment. I ordered the “half breakfast” and a whole pie… as is my custom. The “half” servings were more generous than a typical Bondi “brunch” plate . A whole fried egg, one modest wiener and a pair of bacon strips on a wonder white sliced in triangles, replete with bbq sauce for $13?!! Get outta here bargain! My companion’s scrambled eggs also came with a surprise… a saucer of ketchup! In fact every plate came with some kind of Heinz sauce....

We wait around 5 minute for the coffee with one of the two was ready there on the table for more then 2 minute and they didn't give it to us strait away. We order a espresso ,and a macchiato but the coffee look like a really really long espresso in a small cup , looks like a long black in a cup . The back where they have the table inside need a good clean, was a bit of dust everywhere,and a bit disorganise that was a shame because was looking nice and confy otherways. Read moreJust based on my experience i would return. We stopped in on the way home back to Sydney and i was craving Hot chips with chicken salt. They had side size, small, medium and large. We ordered the small which was huge but delicious. I wanted to order an open melt as we don't have restaurants that do this but i saw it come out as i was considering and again the serve was massive. We also got a blueberry and coconut friand which was so moreish and delicious. The staff where friendly and engaging and the establishment was charming and rustic.
