We arrived for lunch, enjoyed a beer and good meal, then had a game of pool in an awesome rustic setting. There are plenty of old things to look at and nice grounds. But, the pub was totally empty and so it lacked atmosphere.

We'd noticed signs saying that, on certain days, they have happy hour and night-time meals. Two or three days later, while camping near Macksville, we decided to forego a special offer in Nambucca of a 400g wagyu steak and half a lobster for $25, in order to go back to The Pub With No Beer at night when there'd be a few locals there for atmosphere, so we set out on the 70km round trip. We arrived at 5:30pm. There were about two people there. The barman informed us that on that particular night, there were no meals. So, with dying hopes, we asked if, just by chance, this was the night they had happy hour. No. In fact, the pub was closing in 30 minutes, at 6:30pm. Of course, it was all our own fault. We'll definitely go...

Under new management and with new staff from late January 2025. Great old pub. Fabulous pub food... beer, wine, etc. Currently a Weekly Specials board but new full menu coming soon. Plenty of seating choices - indoors, verandah, under cover, grassed area. Live music every week usually on Sunday, and at other times. Dog friendly on leash at management's discretion. The pub also offers basic motel room accommodation. Taylors Arm is a beautiful village located in the Nambucca Valley hinterland, 30 kilometres from Macksville and halfway-ish between Coff Harbour and Kempsey & Port Macquarie. Both the pub and the very worthy Taylors Arm Takeaway and General Store are located across from Taylors Arm Reserve paid campground offering toilets. $5 per night campground fees levied by Nambucca Valley Council payable in cash via collection box on site. Pets permitted at campsite, and at pub (on leash) at management's discretion. Showers...

This was our second visit to this pub. Our first experience back in 2020 was brilliant so naturally we couldn’t wait to visit again. Unfortunately our recent visit was short lived. We were in and out in 5 mins. The guy behind the bar was an absolute jerk. He was so unwelcoming, patronising and horrible to our children and we’d only just walked in the door. I can’t comment on the food and drink because we didn’t get that far. The local language and service was no longer a place for a family to visit. Such a shame because it was once an iconic place to visit with family while travelling Australia. I have since read recent reviews and believe it’s been taken over recently and has gone downhill. Makes complete sense now and why our 2nd experience was as it was. I would not recommend visiting to all fellow travellers, families and other tourists. It was a disgusting atmosphere with...

Pub with no beer, first time out there. Great spot to camp, toilets and HOT showers up at the pub to use. Food was beautiful reasonably priced. Drinks - Great Northern supa crisp for 2 $13.80.....cheap as chips, great value. Camping is great. Free camp-site. Donation box. Breakfast from the quant little shop across from camping ground. Beautiful bacon and egg roll, very generous on the bacon too.... πŸ₯“ πŸ˜‹. Great staff. Nice relaxed pub. Locals where very welcoming also, easy to have a chat too. Pool table at a cost of $2 per game. Dart board free. Music every Friday night and Sunday session. We missed out on both unfortunately, but great excuse to go again.. πŸ˜€πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Really pretty, full of memorabilia and some lovely handmade wood tables. Despite the name there is a good selection of beers both on tap and in bottles as well as the range you would expect from a well stocked bar. The steak and mushroom pies, available all day are worth trying, and the kitchen opens at 5.30pm for a full meal including burgers, steak, lamb and crumped seafood. Large outdoor areas and plenty of seating in the bar and bistro. Welcoming staff and a wonderful house dog who made us feel very welcome.
