Friendly service and a peaceful pub without the young rowdy crowds. Bistro is family friendly or you can sit with the blue collar workers out the front for a good old yarn. A very welcoming local.

The bar staff were so accommodating and the lovely young girl at the bistro counter was so kind and efficient. The food was disgusting. I had two bites of the chicken Caesar salad and took mine and my daughter's back. It looked prepackaged, not fresh at all and wasn't pleasent to eat. The owner couple of the kitchen were incredibly rude and as polite as I was, they were insulting. I finally got a refund after a long debate. Definitely will NEVER go back there for...

Been here a total of 3 times and all has been good In both service and atmosphere. The only gripe I had was on a Sunday (I ad that as most shut early because of less customers on the day so fairs fair) the Web page said it shut at 9:30 so I thought I'd grab a quick beer at 8:25 while i was coming home but they had locked the doors for people coming in. I don't urge this as a bad review for the establishment, just go in a bit earlier if you want a...

We loved coming to the Valley Tarven as it’s family friendly and the food was good. Tonight we went a table of 6, and the food was no more than Average, actually slightly worse... everything over cooked, we had schnitzels, lamb cutlets, fish and chips, nachos (were the only thing edible) not sure what has happened but please fix it, as we would love to come back just not if the food at this point!
