Hunter Valley Cookies & Cafe — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

I popped in yesterday to spend $60 on cookies, remembering the awesome cookies I got from the broke market years ago. I tried a bit of each today and I was so disappointed. It seems like they're cutting corners with ingredients (they're adamant they aren't...) and so there is such a lack of any flavour in every flavour I tried.

The salted caramel has a dry, crunchy, essence of salted caramel flavour in it and the rest is bland and dry. The chunky dunk had one single chocolate chip in it. The triple chocolate was bland apart from the chocolate topping which was waxy. The white choc macadamia one has hard crunchy white chocolate(?) on top and a dry base.

I feel really let down and like I've wasted my money. The product is nothing like what I tried many years ago. All the cookies were so dry and crumbly, and very bland and unsubstantial. I definitely won't be returning. $60 for four packs of cookies of this quality is quite a waste for a family of 8 who won't even eat them. I wouldn't recommend...

Yep there cookies. Nothing exciting, very overpriced for what you can basically bake at home. Young girl who served me looked like life was hard and had to serve. Ordered a coffee and when in doubt on steaming milk and you run out, just pour cold milk into the cup to fill the coffee. And $6.5 for a large. What is this...
