Visiting from out of the area and was looking for somewhere to take the kids for lunch. Being our first time here, wasn't sure what to expect but we were very impressed. Prices are fairly standard, it was a calm atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive. Ordered garlic bread, pizzas, steak & chicken burger, sticky date pudding and coffee. All came out quickly and was delicious; especially the woodfire pizzas. Great experience, thank you. Would definitely recommend.

My husband found this hotel yesterday while finding a ā€œ dog friendly ā€œ place to eat for lunch. Well we went back again today … service is great , food is very good / reasonable price , pub is all done up ( very nicely done ) the area where you can sit with your fur babies is great. We will be back. Do yourself a favour go ! Btw: as we left on Sunday - live music was about to get started ! šŸ¶šŸ‘šŸ‡¬šŸ‡øšŸ˜ŠšŸŽ¼

Came here twice for lunch and dinner as we were staying nearby for a few days. We had the fisherman’s basket & garlic bread for lunch, the food was ordinary. Then came back for dinner and had the pizza and dessert. The food then was good which is why 4 stars. The service is ok, it was a bit slow. You can bring a dog to the outdoor section. The outdoor area is nicely renovated.

šŸŽøšŸ» Good Times Guaranteed – The Ultimate Pub Hotel Hangout

This place isn’t just a pub hotel—it’s an experience. From the minute you walk in, you’re hit with that perfect mix of welcoming vibes, mouthwatering smells from the kitchen, and the buzz of live music tuning up in the background.

Let’s start with the food: proper pub classics done really well. Think loaded burgers, crispy schnitzels, generous plates, and some unexpected chef specials that surprise you in the best way. It’s hearty, flavorful, and hits the spot without hitting your wallet too hard.

Drinks? They’ve got it all. Cold beers on tap, cheeky cocktails, and a decent wine list—plus the prices are super reasonable, so you can enjoy a night out without dreading your bank statement the next morning.

And the live music? That’s the cherry on top. Whether it’s a local acoustic duo, a high-energy cover band, or an open mic night full of surprises, there’s always something happening. It brings a real sense of community and good vibes that keep people coming back.

Bottom line: If you’re after tasty food, cheap drinks, and a good time with great tunes—this pub hotel’s got your name...

This was by far the worst pub grub I’ve ever had. The one star is literally due to the lady that served us being nice when ordering. If I could give the food a zero, I would. First I must start with the salt and pepper squid. It was so undercooked/frozen that as soon as it went in my mouth it became Liquid. There was no texture to it. It was so soggy that the coating was wet. They served it directly on top of the chips which ensured they were wet and fishy too. Inedible.

The snitz was so burnt that it was cooked into a small circle with the diameter of a cup. I asked for gravy on the side and looked up to find the gravy in one of those tomato sauce containers!! When I asked if I could get some more he said ā€œwell I’d have to heat it up………here I give it to you like this and you heat it.ā€ So even tho they were open for another full hour, I had to heat my own gravy! The gravy was clearly just a packet microwaved grossness. The snitty itself had a huge string of fat through the ENTIRE length of it and was as thick as a normal fillet.

The veges were stone cold and the chips were wet and soggy.

$78 for one inedible and 2 barely...

My partner and I are locals, and come quite often as we love that we’re able to bring our dog along. We’ve never had a problem with the service or food. It has always been great. The last time we had dinner though, was a stand out for great customer service. As someone who suffers with allergies, going out for food always brings a level of anxiety. However, the last time we had dinner here the chef went above and beyond to manage and control our requests as per my allergies to the highest standard. Going as far as to put all dressings and sauces on the side and personally come out, after our food had been brought out and explained the different ingredients in the dressing on my salad just to make sure I wasn’t allergic. This is one of a few experiences that I’ve had were I knew and felt that my allergies had been taken seriously. My partner and I will continue to go to the Orana Hotel many more times, but as we have both worked in hospitality, we know how far good reviews can go and we wanted to praise the outstanding service and...
