Have been here a number of times and the tea is real tea not teabags so they were already off to a good start. My sister came down from Brisbane and we went for a Saturday drive so stopped off and had soup (very tasty and good sized portion) and then my son came up from Melbourne so I picked him up at Castlemaine and we stopped off at Dig for afternoon tea. The bathrooms are spotlessly clean and the cafe has a very nice tranquil atmosphere. Was interesting to see the lovely artwork on display by a local artist which also was for sale. Didn't know about the lamb shanks so will definitely have to try that next time. Unfortunately they are only open one night for dinner, can't remember if it is Friday or Saturday. Anyway, it was well worth the short drive...

I personally love the scones but they also do delicious toasted sandwiches or you can have Turkish bread foccasias. If there was a star rating for 10 out of 10 that is what I would give them. The staff are very friendly and also if you are a regular they don't forget your face. Great place for a quick catch up and coffee...

The food is always top quality with a good selection... the service is always excellent and the coffee is great. Add a delightful old building in amongst the other scenic one on the main street , and it all adds up to a place well worth a visit. Of extra note is their selection of local wines , own made chai tea and art exhibitions...
