It's so good we went there 2 days in a road. My Saigon Pork chop was to die for and my friend said even the Spaghetti bolongaise had flavour. There are different places that you can sit ( the verandah out front, the verandah out back, inside in bistro and out back among the greenery. ) They have music on the weekend so it is wise to book. The toilets are big enough for disabled people with a little help. If you have had too much to drink, there is a caravan park out back with units. The staff are always clearing tables. We will definitely be going back again.. If you like my reviews please follow us around Australia 🇦🇺.

Unexpected Delight at Noonamah Tavern 🌿🍸 Stopped in at the Noonamah Tavern on a whim and was genuinely surprised. The customer service was friendly, prompt, and welcoming — a rare combo that instantly makes you feel at home. Tried their house gin, a local collaboration with Darwin Distillery, and wow... what a treat. Tropical notes of pineapple and passionfruit shine through, making it incredibly refreshing — like the Top End in a glass. It was so good I might have grabbed a cheeky bottle to take home. 😉 If you're passing through, this spot is definitely worth a stop

Noonamah Tavern is a popular outback-style venue known for its friendly service, great food, and vibrant atmosphere. Featuring Johnny’s Rodeo Steakhouse, the tavern serves generous, well-loved meals like steaks, schnitzels, and burgers. It also hosts lively events such as rodeos and frog races, making it a local favorite. With a spacious beer garden, family-friendly facilities, and entertainment options like live music and pokies, it’s a must-visit stop along the Stuart Highway.

The best meals we've ever had here in Darwin, NT and probably the best shank period. We've been here for about 2 years and have found it hard to find a really good steak place. We've been to more "up market" places by the waterfront and in the city but its never really hit the spot. We went past here after camping and thought we'd pull in as it was right there on the side. Had little to no expectation just something to fill the gap. It was a Sunday and we ordered the Steak and chips with garlic sauce, lamb shank with peas mash and jus and a side of mash with gravy for the baby. Very delicious and very fast service. The garlic sauce you can have with literally anything i was using it for my shank and the steak was perfectly cooked as requested and the shank just fell off the bone i was pulling it off with just the fork and the mash was so creamy! Price was just right too! Perfect example of not judging a place by the location or look. We will be back that's for sure!! From all the fancy places we've eaten here this was by far...

The best holiday in noonamah:

Drive around the back of the servo late at night. Stop at the abandonded office. Interact with a touch screen, not cranky dissaffected caravanpark owners. Slide your shiny black hilux in the narrow space beside your donga. If you havent already done so, get some golden fried Ozzie street food from United and kick back on the verandah in the verdant tropical garden. Put your feet on the seat coz heapsa mozzies love this place too. In the morning, have a stroll in the dog park. One at a time tho. If the dog has been in that cabin get out fast. I mean it. Then go to the pub. For...
