Genuinely blown away by the Laksa at Angkor Takeaway. Tucked away in an industrial area of Darwin, this small Cambodian takeaway might not look like much at first, but the food speaks volumes. The Laksa was absolutely incredible ($18.5). Honestly one of the best Laksas I've had. Beautifully balanced flavour with just the right amount of chilli (A gentle sweat on the brow is always good 😅), but also light enough you don't feel bloated once you inhale it!
The chocolate milkshake was also great: just a classic no fuss choccy milkshake.
The staff are lovely here too, good service and genuinely friendly.
There are only a few seats in the shop, but it wasn't too busy the two times I've now been. Though you can always get take-away.
Also if Laksa isn't your thing they also have a variety of other foods such as Bahn mi, fried chicken, spring rolls and other things you would find at a take-out in an industrial/tradie area.
Will be back when I'm...
Read moreA proper hamburger with the lot is available here with beetroot egg and bacon . The patty is a spicy llittle crunchy thing which is a little confronting .
I had a croissant with ham and cheese which was excellent .
It's a wild sun baked street here but there's plenty of shade for dining inside or out .
They even have a secret toilet here they'll le t you use if you are a customer. It's like a sauna but when you gotta go you gotta go.
Friendly efficient staff . Well worth a visit !
