We called into Berry Springs Tavern this afternoon after visiting Litchfield National Park. What a gem in the outback we came across. First of all the most wonderful and friendly welcome we received upon entering. The staff on duty were so welcoming and explained the three, yes three menu's on offer. The ambience of the Tavern was great, country music playing on the speakers and cold cold beers on tap. It was a warm day so we sat inside which suited our parents as we are visiting the NT celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary. The food the five of us ordered was fantastic. Huge servings and the best Beef Nachos this side of Mexico!! If you're passing by Berry Springs Tavern call in for a cold beer and a great meal. Mum and dad loved it as much as we did and that was the most important thing. Thanks you to the most wonderful hospitality we received from the staff. I rate 10/10

Nice little area to relax after a day of adventuring. Plenty of parking. Staff are friendly and nice. Playground outdoor with a lot of large tables nearby so you can watch your children while you eat. I tried some scallops and they were ok, presented well and seasoned good. I tried the bruschetta and it was quite tasty, crispy with flavorful tomatoes. I tried the garlic bread and the flavor sang to me. I had the beef, bacon, and cheese pie and it was a very tasty pie with lots of flavor and crispy pie outside. I tried the fried calamari and it was good, had a good crunch and the dipping sauce was lovely. I tried a bite of the chicken schnitzel and it needed seasoning. Great place to come with your family and friends and relax for a bit.

I’m a local and I go to this place a couple of times a month and I usually enjoy it. However, today I was accused of being ‘aggressive’ by one of the managers when I dared to say the bartender had ‘ripped me off.’ I hadn’t said it with any aggression I just said it after the bartender had served me for the second time- the first time he under poured my wine but recognised his mistake and corrected it; then the second time he slightly under poured but also tried to charge me for a more expensive wine knowing I had specifically asked for ‘house’. I just simply said, with no aggression, I don’t want it anymore as I feel like you’re trying to rip me off and paid for my other drink. The manager over heard this and immediately jumped in saying I was aggressive and that the bartender had indeed poured to the line. He hadn’t! But what annoyed me more than anything, and hence this post, is that the manager immediately sought to not only defend the bartender without full knowledge of the facts but also call me names in the process. He was also very arrogant when I asked for their complaints process as though he knew nothing could be done. To add to this when I tried to speak with him and give him the facts he spoke over me aggressively and had the nerve again to call me aggressive. I was so shaken by the experience I couldn’t eat my lunch because my hands were shaking. I’m so disappointed as I liked going there. It may be worth mentioning that I have an accent so I appear to be a backpacker. I wonder if the manager would have treated someone with an Australian accent or even a male the same...

Unfortunately we made the wrong decision to have dinner here instead of Darwin River Tavern. We all ordered together yet half our family waited over 30 mins after we had finished to receive their meals. We ordered chips and gravy for the kids for an entrees and they were horribly filled with oil and yuck. The oysters had no flavour what so ever. Then we received the schnitzel and it was bloody dry. Served with horrible chips and no dressing. After the whole family ate but 4 members. We had to wait another 30 mins. This place is usually spoken upon in high respect towards the standard of food. But in this case it was deplorable. If the tavern was busy I could understand but it was very quiet. I'm a very word of mouth person and I can strongly say I'd happily voice my experience with this kitchen with a negative rating to others.

But the male bar tender who was serving my partner was a great bloke 👍👍

To the chef, pick up your game champ.

Management why did you not come out to your patrons and ask them how everything was going. Be there to receive your feedback and act on it...

To be honest this pub is just that a pub plan old pub food ive seen the reviews that claim "best food, great pub and amazing place with 5 star rating" but let's be honest it's a tourist trap for people who have only come to nt for an experience the food is no better than any other pub within Australia there is 1 thing I must mention the chicken snittys are real chicken other than that it's same same ,cold beer same as any pub ok surroundings but u can see good surroundings in most outback pubs there is nothing for me to brag about if your looking for a PUB and your in the area or at the natural springs sure drop in but I wouldn't go out of your way or have great expectations deep fried food is still deep fried food any where they have hot oil... So in finishing if u leave darwin city all the pubs are the same all the way out to Berry Springs all got cold beer and deep fried food we spent over 160 for 2 meals and 2 entrees with 4 drinks but it is tourist season where even us the locals get stung by the high overpriced...
