Coolamon Cafe Alice Springs — Restaurant in Northern Territory

Lovely surroundings and good selection of drinks and things to buy. Unfortunately the food was dry and tasteless for all 3 of us. The selections we had were beef pie, vegetarian pie and smoked salmon bagel. They looked good but tasted bad 😞 Also the cafe workers were kind of abrupt and you could overhear them talking at the counter about annoying customers and how they "miaow" about customers they don't like or something. .. I get it I have worked in hospitality plenty and I know how some customers can be! However it was just a bit unprofessional honestly, maybe let off steam in a different area where customers can't hear you??? We're not all bad and spending our own hard earned money as well... Just out here trying to have a snack and a drink and get a break from the heat. I don't know, maybe I am that "b*tchy customer !! But it was a shame as it was the only slightly negative part to an otherwise lovely experience at...

Came down to Coolamon cafe this morning to get away from the annoying crowds in town. Only my daughter and I were at the counter. The lady behind the counter was cleaning knives and forks. She seemed to not take any notice of us waiting to be served. After a while of waiting I had to asked to be served. But she was more interested in cleaning her forks. Not happy at all with her attitude. It seemed that we didn't exist or we were not acceptable to this person.

My mother is one of the founding members of the Alice Springs Desert Park and we deserve better treatment than that.

I'm only going recommended that people avoid this cafe because of this person's poor attitude...

After spending quite a morning at the desert park, I had a lunch at this cafe. They have a good selection of sandwiches, salads, and some quick bites along with drink options.
