Best way to describe this cafe, I think is bijoux boheme meets chic. The location amongst the trees on the foreshore can't be beaten. Something about the dilapidated seating scattered among the trees shouts carefree beachy and hippie. I really wanted to give it 5 stars after today's visit 3/9/24 but today we must have hit a 'slappy lazy ho hum' service day. Perhaps this is part of the vibe they're going for, layback take it or leave it. Anyway, the iced chocolate was very nice, the ice latte was pricey at 6$ for the size IMO. I learnt later by accident that there was an orange cake on offer but you had to ask for it. While we were too early for lunch, other people's burgers looked good. It's definitely worth a visit but be prepared for premium prices.

Took a breakfast here, quite hard to find but when you do it's worth a visit for a meal. Parking is available close by or at the bottom of the street If parking is full, so maximum of a 50m walk. Was a small queue when I went but still ordered food and drink within 10minutes. Food was nice and as ordered, was a nice variety on the menu but limited tables nearby so you have to wait for your order then take it to your table, no service. A few picnic tables close to ordering point them more tables around the area, some with nice views if the sea. A nice little place for any meal so have a look if your close by!

Perfect view, great breakfast, tasty coffee & busy friendly staff. Go early (~8am) before the crowd. Pet friendly, kids friendly & bird friendly. Located near the dripstone park & picnic, lots of room for kids to play - of course the beach is there as well. Vegan burger is filling, beautifully presented and tasty ($22) - large coffee (4.5$ + .5 for large). There is a Sunday surcharge. Biking distance from nightcliff, walking possible and enjoyable (in winter/dry). Must drive, no buses (cdu closest stop). Very enjoyable and relaxing.

My favourite place to start the day. Sitting on comfy beanbags on green grass under shady trees, looking out at the ocean, cool sea breeze, sipping delicous coffee or tea and having a hearty breakfast. Then go for a stroll to the beach, feel the water on your legs and go back to have more breakfast! The location is really priceless. You can enjoy nature and have a really nice breakfast at the same time. I can't think of any place more beautiful and relaxing for a start of the day. I recommed the breaky roll or the smashed avocado toast. The crepes are very delicous! Bring your kids! Mine loves it so much. They can run around safely, play on the beach and the water. Bring your dog. If your dog is well behaved, bring him along. Basil, the friendly, cuddly restaurant dog loves playmates! The staff is very friendly, hard working and doing a great job. Foods and drinks are fresh and tasty, beautifully prepared and promptly brought to you to your place. I usually spend 2 -3 hours there in the morning, I just don't want to leave, its so beautiful. Sunset. Alcohol is served at the bar from the DSLSC up on the first floor. What a place to sip your cold beer, hang out with friends, family or loved one! What a view when the sun sets! Just amazing. You have to give these guys credit for what they accomplished. Young, hard working people who really make an huge effort to make this place work.. and it works! I hope this place will stay as it is for a long time. A secret hidden...

I've visited this café three times now, and what keeps bringing me back is the stunning view—it's truly one of the highlights of the place and a big reason why I’ve returned multiple times. The location has so much potential, but unfortunately, the service can be much better.

On one of my visits, I ended up waiting over an hour for food, we eventually had to request a refund and leave without receiving our order. As someone who has worked in the service industry for years, I understand how challenging busy periods can be, and I generally try to be patient and empathetic. That said, our most recent visit was right after City2Surf, and we were really looking forward to a good meal.

The two young staff members at the counter were doing their best—they were polite, friendly, and made an effort to keep us informed, which we genuinely appreciated. However, there seemed to be a serious disconnect between the front-of-house and kitchen. In particular, one of the chefs appeared visibly unkind to the young staff member, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere.

Overall, it feels like the café would really benefit from a more streamlined system for managing orders and better communication between the kitchen and front-of-house team. With such a great location, a few operational improvements could really elevate the...

Came here for Mother's Day concert by Arafura Wind Ensemble May 12th. Last time we came for a similar concert we were stopped by security and not allowed to bring our own picnic in, which we respected given the cafe's proximity. So this time we knew ahead of time so planned to eat dinner at the cafe with sunset. Waited in line for over 30mins at 530, to get to the front to be told almost the entire menu was sold out. Appreciate that happens on a busy night but you can't let customers wait for so long to order to be told there's nothing left other than a few burgers. We settled for 3 burgers and a grazing platter only to wait over an hour on top to receive stone cold chips and burgers, with bread that was rock hard it verged on croutons. While we waited for the food I watched multiple customers complained on wait time and the cold food and dismissed each time by the wait staff. Lost us totally for any future business, and a shame as the concert was the saving grace for the night. Better off sitting on the beach and listening from there with...
