I’ve ordered twice from Palates of India and both times, the food has tasted absolutely amazing. Tonight (09 Nov), we ordered 3 serves of goat curry ($29ea) along with 2 other dishes. The taste was as delicious as the first time I ordered however this time around, the serves barely had meat. One of the serves had 4 pieces of meat which was so disappointing considering the price. I get that Saturday nights are busy (the restaurant was busy on this particular night) but I don’t think that’s a reason to serve less that what we paid for. The taste gets 5 stars from me always but I was really disappointed in the serves we received tonight

Warm atmosphere, semi authentic decor with western charm. attentive friendly staff, Great for date. A little out of the touristy drive. A little pricy (lamb rogan josh $28) Roti was a little too oily, chicken vindaloo slightly sweet and not too spicy. Palak Paneer a little oily and not too salty. Beef Malabar undertone of coconut flavour and slightly sweet. Three mains for the price of two. Tuesday & Wednesday = buy 1get 1 free for orders above 35$ (call to check). Free Wi-Fi lots of parking.

First time for me to order here. We had takeaway. We weren’t too adventurous and ordered a couple of butter chickens for a lazy Sunday night watching the cricket. Also 2 garlic Naan. Flavour was awesome from the first bite. Good size pieces of well cooked chicken. I did order one to be spicy 🌶 hot. It definitely had more spice heat than the standard Butter chicken but in reality was only 3-4 on the heat scale for me. Never less had an excellent flavour. Highly recommended.

I went to palates of india with my family. We had very well dinner there with satisfaction. When there was a time of payment the manager there behave very rude.

We asked him, on cash there was any discount very gently and he replied this is not a clothing shop that you are asking for discount on cash, what is the behaviour of manager to us? We are two families there, my brothers, my aunts and my grandma. How can he said these type of rude words in front of old people and ladies?

After arguing too much, he said i can gave 50 dollars back to my brothers and apologised so that we don’t complain about him. He gave us bribe for not to complain to anyone.

The manager there was very rude, he argued with my brothers at least for 15 minutes. This distroyed our happy mood, our excitement and lovely time we spend...

I’ve eaten POI food many times in the past with pretty good experiences however, have noticed of late the quality of service is significantly lacking. My last 3 visits were for take away and we were advised it would be a 20 minute wait, but on arrival was made to wait at least another 30 minutes each time. There was a clear lack of engagement or investment from staff throughout the process. The food is also not what it use to be either. The Naan was meant to be garlic but was plain and very oily. The butter chicken was what I’d call average. The saag was rather flavourless. Overall not too impressed and certainly won’t be coming back until...
