BE WARNED! This is not place to come to sit for a meal. It is TAKE AWAY ONLY. All the info on line showed it to be a destination for lunch, dine in etc. which closes at 2pm. However we found minimum staff, take away only. No food after 2:30pm and closes at 3pm. Food is served based on the ticket number and yelled from the counter so better to wait in the shop to hear. NO tables despite the ample deck. Some random plastic chairs. Only rubbish bins are in the café, strictly for café rubbish. The food appears to be whatever frozen food can be heated in a microwave (beef, vegetable patties) plus lettuce and sliced tomatoes on generic white buns. We did not try the toastie. If we had known the situation, we would just brought our own food and picnic rug or chairs. You can buy some cold drinks here. Facilities are the public toilets. No change rooms. 2 of the 3 female cubicles out-of-order. See photo of the deck. NOTE: there are no tables and people standing around due to the...
Read moreWoman working in the café was unbelievably rude. My husband and I bought a couple of snacks and I asked her if there was anywhere we could sit because all of the tables under the shade/fans were reserved for a tour group. She said "you can sit anywhere there" and gestured at the reserved tables, I then said "really?" she said "yes" and I said thanks very much (there wasn't another person sitting in the area at the time). 10 minutes later she comes around the counter and starts having a go at my husband and I for sitting in the reserved seating, I said to her "but we checked with you and you said it was fine" she just kept saying in a rude voice "it's reserved for groups it's reserved for groups". If she'd come up and said either "really sorry there is a tour coming can you please move?" or "I'm sorry I think there has been a misunderstanding you can't sit here" we'd have had no issue in vacating. Feel sorry for any other tourists that encounter...
Read moreThey were nice enough to remind you before it’s closing so you can finish up your food and clear the area. Bins are scarce at litchfield national park so it’s recommended to clear your waste there with your meal. There were no baby high chairs so we did a double stack for our 1 year old to enjoy his meal with us. Love the strawberry milkshake along with other food! Good reward after a hike, before hitting the waterfalls to chill!
The owners/staff are welcoming, I’m sure their business will continue to flourish, especially if they open for longer hours since it’s such a beautiful...
