I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Parkerville Tavern and it truly exceeded my expectations. Located in the Perth hills, this charming establishment is an absolute gem that shouldn't be missed.
From the moment I stepped inside the old Victorian building, I couldn't help but be enchanted by its old-world charm. The Tavern perfectly blends elegance with a rustic ambiance, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere that is sure to impress.
One of the highlights for me was the expansive beer garden. Situated under large shady trees, it provided the perfect setting to relax and unwind. Whether you're enjoying a drink with friends or taking in the live music on the weekends, the beer garden offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The service at The Parkerville Tavern was top-notch. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that I felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout my visit. When it came to the food, I was blown away by the quality and value for money. The dishes were nothing short of amazing, with each bite bursting with flavor. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian, the menu offers something to suit every taste and preference.
Families with kids will find The Parkerville Tavern to be an ideal destination. The open space allows children to freely play while parents relax and enjoy their meal. It's a great place for the whole family to come together and create lasting memories.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Parkerville Tavern to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. With its charming ambiance, friendly service, delicious food, and great value for money, it truly stands out as a must-visit establishment. Don't miss the chance to uncover the magic of this old-style country pub and indulge in a delightful...
Read moreTop pub. Lovely indoor setting, got that old school homestead pub feel to it that makes you feel relaxed the moment you arrive.
Only complaint I have is the fact that you've gotta pay extra to add ham or bacon. I mean c'mon, don't be stingy, a real Aussie parmi should have ham or bacon standard. Stop making people pay extra to create the standard meal they expect. If I'm coming for a meal I'm gonna be hanging around awhile and have some drinks, you're gonna get your money's worth out of me, you dont need to price gouge Parmi lovers over a couple slices of ham, I'm sure that won't send your restaurant broke.
As a parmi fan, I can go elsewhere in the eastern region and get a bigger parmi, for the same price AND it comes with ham/bacon. I hate these pubs that deconstruct a standard meal and make you pay extra to recreate it, just stop it.
On a plus side, loving the additional playground equipment that was recently added. Parents look for pubs that have adequate playground equipment and you've now become the best in the eastern side of Perth in this department, well done. But PLEEEASE, could you please add some kind of wire to your street side fence, little kids can and have escaped out onto the road. Although parents do watch their kids, they could be alot more at ease knowing their little ones aren't at risk of running out onto the road when they are out the back area of your playground, where they do temporarily pop out of sight. Mate took his eye off his toddler for 5 seconds and BAM, kid was out on the road. Bit of extra wood/wire would help eliminate any road or stranger risk, really put parents minds at...
Read moreWe came out on Sunday for a birthday lunch. Unfortunately, the lady recorded our table number wrong when placing the order. After an hour with no food, the lady came out to tell us what went wrong and that she had made a mistake. She said they would remake the food because it had been sitting for so long.
It arrived 10 minutes later but it seemed to me the steak had been microwaved. It came out warm but well done (asked for medium rare) and also had a long black hair in it. One of the service staff asked us how it was, and we told her we were disappointed and showed her the hair. The staff member said that it wasn't acceptable and would let the kitchen staff know. She returned later to say that she was told to tell us that next time, we should send it back and that they would replace it. Not really what I thought to be fair after it was apparently all ready remade once cause it was sitting for a while. All up spending $160 on food and drinks. Forty dollars on the steak.
Finally, it was not really a reflection of the tavern itself, but we saw a little boy urinating in the stream running through the outside dining area. I hope it's not recirculated water as other kids were playing in the water afterwards. Sort of put me off a bit, and we made sure to keep our kids away after that.
All in all not a pleasant experience at all. We'd been recommended this place by family but not sure we'll...
