Dish Cafe — Restaurant in Parkes

My family all decided attend and support our local Dish Cafe for breakfast this morning, and as much as I hate to write this I just feel like I must share here on how awful our experience was in hopes it may change.

We ordered pancakes for our kids that were charred black, so much so our kids refused to eat them. We sent one lot back to the kitchen only to receive the same quality back a second time. Meals were very average for the price and we were extremely disappointed. We asked for a takeaway container and we were handed an old smelly broken container which we decided not to use for obvious reasons.

Visited this place during our road trip from Queensland. Decided to have a cuppa. It wasn't many choices at the time, but their scones and jam caught our eyes. The coffee was perfect, the scones were warm fluffy and light, the jam was REALLY nice!! And YES, they use real whipped cream!! Not the cream out of a can. Really enjoyed our time here. Plenty of seating area inside or outside. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the price was a bit stiff but its worth with the view of the dish. Overall was very nice. Highly recommend...

A bit of a line up to get in. They were quite busy when we went @ midday. The grilled chicken wrap was very tasty. Doesn't come with chips, had to get a side order & they were extra. The coke was a bit warmer than expected but still drinkable. Definately take the family back out there for lunch on our next visit. Hint. Don't go @ midday, leave it till about 1 pm.
