Went there today to try it out. Ordered a cup of tea first...it came to the table and I asked the waitress where the milk was (normal milk). Was told by the waitress that you have to order and pay for the milk with your tea - that is an add on...🤔 She left. My daughter went inside and questioned it at the counter...she was told to go and stand in the queue again to talk to the order cashier🤔...when it came to talking with the cashier, the cashier said that, no, you don't have to pay for milk to go with tea only specialty milks(almond, skim etc) the wait staff giving out wrong information, got the small jug of milk free 🤔...so we ordered lunch a bit later. Caesar salad and the Duck. I got a whole bowl full of Cos lettuce, plenty croutons, 3, 1 inch pieces of sliced chicken, ...$22.00🤔 The Duck had the smallest shavings of Duck meat and no sauce on the salad...$18.00🤔...hmmm. Okay, so we ordered some Pastries, Macarons and Carrot cake...They were very good👍. So overall, not happy with main food dishes delivered to our table, but the Cafe is good for cakes and pastries. Staff need to get some training on how to serve and talk to customers when they bring food to the table. Sorry, I do not normally give reviews, but just expected better from them, and for the money that we paid.I hope this Cafe can get better in the next few weeks/months as they iron out all the small problems or they won't last long. Lovely gardens and...
Read moreWe decided to try the place out after a friend recommended the place to us, we didn't necessarily find it overly that French stylistically in terms of decor or food (cakes excepted). However, the service was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful, service was prompt and there was a varied menu. There were lovely cakes you could also take away and the coffee was good. Decor was minimalist and uncluttered with an outdoor veranda area where you could also eat and plenty of parking. We went on a weekday a bit later for lunch so no screaming children running around and it wasn't too busy so nice and quiet.
The only thing I would say is that there were a few persistent flies around out table when we were eating which became a bit annoying after a while and I realised this was because the main doors coming into the cafe were wide open so the serving staff could presumably go in and out easily. It might be an idea to fix doors of some kind with flyscreens so that they can be pushed open with elbows or feet so the staff can still move around without too much trouble whilst helping to stop the flies.
Also, signage could be better, they really need a sign post by the side of the road pointing to the turn...
Read moreHonestly, it is such a gem of a place. Meet friends here for brunch. its location was easy to get to. Parking is efficient for the size of the venue. Place is licenced within the premises but can't consume alcohol on the grassed/play area. Open concept dinning nice shaded verandah looking out to a beautiful kids playground. The food was wonderful and very good sizing. We had a few different breakfast style meals as the breakfast menu goes to 11.15 before switching out at 11.30 for lunch menu. Kids' meals are small choices but different. There were different crepes, eggs on toast, homemade mini burger with homemade "wedges" which were just roast potatoes, but very delicious and so different. I tried the croissant holinaise with bacon, this is by far the best home-made holinaise sauce and the portion was very big and worth the money. Husband had the breakfast sandwich and that looked amazing. He said it was excellent. Coffee is such a nice blend and so smooth! The deserts are next level and a must try place.
Will most certainly be returning again and booking a...
