never has the right things on the plate when being compared to what's on the actual menu so you never know what you'll get as there's always something new or different on the plate. went for mothers day dinner and got the bruschetta which came without feta and basil, yet it was on the menu. also got the chicken main meal that was on the mothers day special and instead of receiving asparagus there was broccollini. was not told about these changes. steak was super tough and was slightly overcooked when asked for rare. slowish service when asking for extras (cutlery, side of sauce, napkins etc) honey cake barely had any filling inside and was dry and how it's set out on the menu is very misleading.

The food is very disappointing. The menu sounds fantastic but both of our dishes were not worth the money. I ordered the share seafood platter which was old and the calamari rings tasted like metal. In the photo of my $30 platter you can see the 2 prawns that were included which were a shriveled up deep fried piece. My husband’s prawns were overcooked and the porterhouse steak was definitely not. Even the salad seemed just thrown together with a massive chuck of cabbage. I order a pint of peach lemonade and even that seemed to come out 3/4 full. Staff were friendly and helpful and we probably should have sent the food back. Dogs are welcome but sadly no water bowl for them at all.

Living in Mandurah for 2 years now and been longing to patronize this legendary establishment. Next to Red Zoo and stone throw from Pinjarra Golf, the location and ambience are just superb. Connected to Murray River via a private bridge, you are immerged in the great outdoor with lush vegetation. Draft beer selection is not spectacular as I expect some boutique brews. Food has improved big time as compared to previous reviews. Porterhouse is bit overcooked and prawn tiny and chewy. Love the chips as so crispy to the last bite. Salad more than cabbage with generous serving of greens. No lunch special tho.

Awesome atmosphere and beautiful surrounds. My hubby and kiddos couldn’t fault their steaks, but I ordered a vegan Thai salad (we talked about the fact that they used mushrooms instead of meat), and when they brought it out and it looked like beef so I asked, is this the vegan Thai salad? And the server responded “yes” and I asked if he was sure and he said yes again. I had my partner try it and it was in fact beef. I was upset that they had so flippantly tried to serve me beef, even when I questioned them. I went back to the person I ordered from and she said “obviously the kitchen isn’t reading their tickets”, but no apology. About 10-15 min later, and when my family was nearly done with their meals, I got the right salad, well except that it was missing the Thai fried noodles it said it had on the menu (again, something we talked about when I ordered). So, mushrooms on a green salad drowned in sauce. And when the server dropped it to me, there was no apology, no offer of a drink, nothing. Not one person approached me to apologize. It really is the simple things (like an “I’m sorry”)and this would have resolved it for me. This was our first time there and we won’t be rushing back. Very...

We had lunch with kids here after the zoo. It was really good vibe surrounded by green and water plus wild animals. My husband had a pork belly, it was a very small serve compare with the cost and not much on the side so it was disappointing dish. I had a prawn and occy salad, this one was looking nice in a big bowl and tasty. The other 2 dishes were bolonese and chicken parmy. They were huge sevres and dilicious! You could devide thw bolonese for 2-3 kids!! One thing that I really think have to be improved was a service! I'm not sure it was because it's a hot day and an event or what but the staff should be more friendly, enthusiathic and put more smiles on their faces.😊 They are young girls but that's why it would make them look even prettier, dont you think? Otherwise, this place would be a perfect spot to relax and...

Let me say, this place has a lovely atmosphere, live music, great beer garden and right on the Murray.

Unfortunately, this place was just caught with its pants down over a busy Easter weekend. Lunch time rush caught them off guard at the bar, but that was fine.

Less fine was the tip top bread used for garlic bread, as they ran out of buns. Forgivable, only $11 for the bread, just was a bit meh.

Less forgiveable is using the same bread for the burgers and steak sandwich which arrived 15 minutes after the rest of the meals. I get it, busy over Easter and ran out of bread. But inform the customers and let them order something else, discount the meal or comp some free drinks at least, making customers pay full price was cheeky.

But, it is a lovely venue and assume normal service not over busy Easter...
