While the Cafe is trying to be trendy, it doesn't quite pull it off. Some more work needed on furnishings and decor, and repairs to the building itself. From the limited food that was left to choose from (I'm presuming there's usually more, and I appreciate that estimating catering needs in such a small town is difficult), my ham and salad roll was fresh, just a bit bland though. Coffee was mediocre. Service was unfriendly but quick...maybe if he'd taken a bit more time, my cappuccino wouldn't have been as flat as a tack. I stopped off as I saw a sign for Groundsman coffee so suggest you get a new sign on the highway - I really enjoyed my oat flat white and friendly service, I’m fussy about coffee and with a double shot this hit the spot and is a rare quality in the Mallee. There’s lots of passion from the gentleman in this cafe. Others perhaps not so happy to be working at this cafe. But be prepared after long hours of driving that there just is limited availability of food, even at 10:30am. The bakery just down the road is amazing however, fully stocked with loads of options.
