Nestled in the charming town of Pooncarie, Old Wharf Cafe is a delightful find for anyone traveling through rural New South Wales. My recent visit to this cafe was an absolute treat, and it's a must-visit spot for breakfast enthusiasts and coffee aficionados alike.I ordered the Big Breakfast, and it was nothing short of delicious. Every component of the meal was cooked to perfection, from the crispy bacon to the perfectly seasoned sausages, accompanied by golden hash browns, savory baked beans, grilled tomatoes, and eggs just the way I like them. It was a hearty, comforting meal that left me satisfied and ready to take on the day.But what really sets Old Wharf Cafe apart is its coffee. As someone who appreciates a good cup of coffee, I was thoroughly impressed. The aroma, the rich flavor, and the perfect temperature made it clear that the cafe takes its coffee seriously. It was the perfect complement to the meal and a standout on its own.The atmosphere of the cafe adds to the experience. Its rustic charm and warm, welcoming vibe make you feel right at home. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that every visit is a pleasant one.In summary, Old Wharf Cafe is a gem in Pooncarie. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's the perfect place to enjoy a delicious breakfast and excellent coffee. I'll definitely be returning and recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in the area. Five stars...

A quaint little cafe run by passionate couple right across old wharf site at Pooncarie. Town has a population of just 42 and lo behold, there lies this little oasis along the darling river. Best little place in outback NSW without a doubt and Bob and Barbara are just great. They are even okay to open the cafe early to cater to your needs. How lovely is that..!

We enjoyed the food and every moment with the couple and ended up buying loads og honey, skipper hat and of course food and cofee.

This little oasis in the outback NSW is worth a second visit. Thanks to such...

Quaint little Cafe on the beautiful darling River. We sat outside and it was just gorgeous. After we sorted out what I could order being a coeliac I chose a pie for my husband. We were the first to order the new Yabby Pie so the owner was keen for feedback. Well put it this way we were telling everyone about it on their way in and next minute so many people were ordering it. One of the nicest pies he's ever had. Also bought a jar of pickled yabbies. My chicken burger was absolutely delicious, sauce was so tasty.Owners were so lovely having a good old chat to...

Beautiful, quiet spot by the river (although was totally dry when we went) on the way between Kinchega National Park (Menindee) and Mungo National Park. We had an espresso and a chai latte and both were really good. They have different types of milk for lactose intolerant or soy & almond addict like me :) They have a menu and a couple of tables both inside and outside. We loved it!!
