Very disappointed in the lack of customer service. We phoned our order ahead, arrived before agreed time and advised the name of the order was under and told it wouldn’t be long. We didn’t care it cost $244 for takeaway for 5 people as this place came highly recommended by a local friend (we travelled from Adelaide to spend money in the state) and wanted to support a SA business selling SA seafood in these difficult times.
After paying we looked around the shop waiting for our order to be prepared. No real haste seemed to be taking place by any staff member, they seemed to be more concerned with packing up n cleaning just before closing.
After waiting 15 minutes I looked to see a large box of prepared food just sitting on the counter, it sat there for a further 10 minutes before anyone seemed to care n think ‘oh we better see who this food belongs too’.
Pretty disappointing start to our trip to Lincoln to support a local city in these times. No apology given or any realisation by the young male staff member after I said the food has been sitting there for ages what the hell its probably cold now.
You would think an order that $ value they’d wanna make sure it’s 100% but no care whatsoever.
We travelled 5 minutes down the road to our accommodation to eat stone cold seafood!
4 stars for quality n taste. 0 for service.
As a business owner myself I’d hate to receive this feedback. I hope this is read by the owner n...
Read moreDelicious seafood however, the service was highly off putting. I have been here for a week and often visit this place for my sea food! I always get 2 dozen natural oysters and go sit by the beach. There was a female of Asian decent who served me last week and she was horrendous. I am not a local and wanted to know what local fish she recommended. She abruptly told me that the fish were all local. She wasn't very helpful so I just stuck to my usual oysters. When I paid for the oysters, I asked for a wedge of lemon so I could squirt it over my oysters. She refused to give me a wedge and stated I had to buy a whole lemon sitting in the fridge. This was a little unfair as I pay anywhere from $20 to $80 a day pending what I am purchasing. I was about to buy a whole lemon when a gentleman / fisherman behind me stated to the female that it was a rough act and a bit of lemon doesn't cost much. He stated he was a fisherman who worked out in Port Lincoln and as locals, a wedge of lemon for oysters should be complimentary. She eventually gave me one but it was just disappointing to see. I am supporting local businesses every day that I am here, that I should be able to have a...
Read moreFirst night we had salt & pepper squid & prawns and additional scallops. Delicious. Second night, 1/2 dozen oysters, prawn plate for 2, salad & chips and (here it comes, the 1 star) a piece of pan fried tuna for $30. Not arguing the price, but instead the cooking. Tuna was so dry! The guy even came to our table to ask us if we wanted the tuna pink in the inside (and that’s how I normally eat pan-fry tuna). We ate the remaining food and half of the tuna. Once I got hold of the guy with the beanie, I pointed at the tuna and how dry it was, and I only got a: “oh sorry, it is dry”. Wasn’t looking for my money back or another piece of tuna, but instead I wanted to know why you would even serve the tuna knowing that it is severely overlooked and dry as a bone? I am sure you guys know how to cook a piece of tuna so why do you even serve it if you clearly recognised at a glance that it was overcooked? Simply, come to the table and tell me that the chef or whoever cooked it f..ed it up and offer me something else instead of serving it to me. I’m sure you have some pride in what you are serving to your clients. Disappointed after the first...
