The pies and cakes are truly amazing but customer service is really lacking . There is hardly ever a smile and lacks friendly service. Also I had an experience there a few weeks ago where I felt quite ripped off. I purchased a carrot muffin and the muffins that were at the front of the rows, displayed closest to the customers had lots of icing and were really quite large. It was take away so When I went to eat it I found it was considerably smaller and only had half the icing on it. I felt ripped off but Chalked it up to a one off. I was there recently and once again I was impressed on how huge they were and the heaps of icing on them , but then remembering about last time i decided to check size differences. I then checked the display for size differences and sure enough the muffins that were taken from the owners side of the counter were considerably smaller and a lot less icing. I found that to be very deceitful! Normally I would go to management to complain but with their constant unfriendliness I don’t think I’d get anywhere. Not sure if they’re doing it with...

We absolutely love their pies — we’ve even driven all the way from Brisbane just to have them on the weekends whenever we get the chance. But every single time we visit, the customer service is consistently disappointing. Staff give off rude attitudes, sigh, and act annoyed whenever we order more than one item.

Yesterday was by far the worst experience. It was only around 1:30pm, and while there were still a few pies left, the staff clearly didn’t want to serve us properly. They kept bringing out pies from the back one by one, as if they were trying to make it look like there was nothing left. I even asked if that was all they had — and instead of answering clearly, they just kept slowly bringing more pies out and putting them into the warmer. It felt passive-aggressive and unprofessional.

Honestly, as much as we love the pie, the poor customer service ruins the entire experience. It’s frustrating and disappointing, and it’s enough to make us think twice about...

Enjoyed one of the nicest chunky steak pies I have ever eaten. The pie was full of flavour, had enough gravy inside and big chunks of tender steak. Pastry was flaky too. Really enjoyed stopping in here and will continue to do so when passing through town. Also tried some sweets but the pie was the winner for me. Tried the vanilla slice (custard filling) and the zesty lemon slice. The vanilla slice was very sweet and made in the traditional way. Need to eat it with a knife/fork as it can be hard to get through the pastry. The filling was a very vanilla tasting custard. I couldn’t eat all the icing topping as it was too sweet for me. My partner liked his zesty slice but said he could have shared it. Next time we will try something else there but will definitely be returning. Highly recommend! Cost us $27.80 for all of these items. Which I think is reasonable for being freshly made quality items of a decent serving size.

Great tasting pies and sausage rolls. I had the cheeseburger pie and steak cheese and bacon. I can honestly say that the cheeseburger pie tasted exactly like a maccas cheeseburger. If I didn’t know it was a pie I would have said it was a cheeseburger. Cheese and bacon pie was also delicious along with the sausage roll. My wife hade the pepper steak which she also enjoyed. Totally worth the 2 hour drive from Brisbane. Coffee was great tasting as well. Well worth a trip here. There is a park just next to the bakery where you can sit and eat. Very organised and speedy service even though the line was out the door.
