Cafe 63 Southtown — Restaurant in Queensland

Had lunch here last Thursday and food was good and service was "OK". Had breakfast here today and it wasnt a good experience. Walked in to get a table, were the only ones standing waiting to get seated and stood for 5 minutes while 3 wait persons moved around us including the young lady that seats patrons - no welcome, no eye contact awkward!! We ended up seating ourselves and getting a menu off one of the other tables. My wife needed to use the ladies room so went for key and same thing. Wasn't that busy either. So I helped myself to the key gave to wife she used ladies and returned key. Another 5 mins until waiter came over and asked if we wanted another menu as we only had the one. Placed our order that included 1 flat white in cup and 1 in a mug - 2 flat white in mugs were delivered so I informed 1 was ordered in a cup - 1 minute later I had same coffee back and it had been poured from the mug into a cup (didn't see this happen but was obvious in taste and comparison with the mug coffee). Couldnt drink it as it was like dishwater so took it up to waiter to get a real coffee. You guys really badly need some training in service for your wait persons from someone that knows how to do this well. If you dont give that special service your customer's wont feel important. We had lunch on the 24th April at this Cafe and it was disappointing and very poor service. We had to ask for service which is poor considering they where not bussy at the time. Orders was taken poorly and we had to repeat our requests more then once for each of us at the table. When orders where finally delivered the staff offered no quality table service with staff leaning over each of us to place goods down. This included hot food and drinks which questions health and safty work place. At one time an over filled hot coffee was handed over the top of our 86 year old mother which concerned all of us. At not time was our table cleared of dirty plates and clases which also suggest a question of the health conditions.

We expressed our concern with a staff member when paying for our meals and was confronted with what best can be described as complete arrogance by the person with a respons off "I will let managment know"

The food was ok for some but many plates had very poor quality and bad taste. Again we told staff about this but ignored and felt arrogance from the staff.

We where a table of 8 and paid a large dollar for this poor disgusting service. Would not recommend anyone to try and enjoy an outing as you will be...

Asked for a basic ham cheese and tomato sandwich for a child, cut into quarters needless to say bread wasnt buttered, and they put chilli garnish on the side like who does that when you were told it was a childs sandwich.

Asked for a basic ham salad roll for my lunch and they have nothing for salad except leaf greens and tomato so settled for a tomato leaf green mix cheese and ham croissant fresh meaning not toasted it came out toasted and warm ham.

Honestly its no rocket science its hot fresh means not toasted.

Baby/ child sandwich means no chilli garnish. Use your brains people or open your ears.

Bill for the two small drinks that absolutely were over priced for the size and the absolute incompetent service of food costs 30 dollars. 0/10 wouldn't recommend. Not going back i will go to the super market there before ever going back to cafe 63. And for christ sakes get some kid friendly pop top drinks...
