Well, wasn't this a surprise find. Hunting a coffee and some food, we drove into Injune and discovered Cafe on Second. We ordered the "Big Breakfast " to share and waited.

They were busy so it took some time to arrive, but it led to the other half commenting that "It was well worth the wait. " Sausages, loads of bacon, fried eggs and tomato along with fresh toast, was delicious and filling. What was really pleasing was the bacon and sausages weren't over salty. The balance was right. If you are near Injune, make the effort to visit. I believe that you won't be...

Food is exceptional for a remote town, with lovely friendly staff. They had a good crowd of diners showing how popular this cafe is. We dined in, the service was quick, my wife said that her brioche breakfast roll was one of the best she had ever tasted. For coffee lovers like myself, this was nice, it had a good intensity, would have liked a little more bitterness. Highly recommend this Cafe to any traveller. Do yourself a favour, don't stop at Roma, Injune is only 60 minutes...

The service was rather slow and I did notice that my food order went through several sets of hands while being prepared. A number of times it was left for several minutes between additional items being added to the dish. I had ordered loaded potato skins, and apart from being nearly cold, it was a sloppy dish drowning in sweet chilli sauce. The skins were not crisp or seasoned. Overall an underwhelming choice. The staff were pleasant and the coffee was nice,...

We didn’t like the chicken which came with the salat I think it was deep fried. Same with the burger, I guess the meat was deep fried and not grilled. The tomato sauce which came with the fries was not good. The stars are not for the food but for the prices because it wasn’t expensive eating there.

Lovely staff, perfect coffee, great food. We loved sitting on the verandah enjoying the warm sun on a very cool winter's morning. Very popular with the locals and travellers. Next door to the visitor information centre and across the road from the supermarket. Highly recommended.
