The XXXX Gold was as fresh as the XXXX Brewery and the lines and glassware were squeaky clean, evident by the the perfect lacing. A delight to chat to the friendly, enthusiastic owner on the way through Biggenden on a recent road trip. A very welcoming, clean, bright main bar with real county hospitality. Our food did not arrive (all Medium Steaks) until we followed up twice, at 745pm. We had two young children that are usually asleep in bed by 730pm, it wasn't a joyful experience. I don't know what the hold up with food was, and the staff did not care, nor did they apologise in any way.
