We visit Daintree Fan Palm Farm every time we are in the area. A fabulous local produce and health foods store, and I have to say that our experience was absolutely delightful! From the moment we walk in, we are greeted with warm hospitality from the owners Gina and Peter, who are some of the friendliest and welcoming individuals I have ever met, and that warm hospitality from Gina and Peter is echoed by the myriad of 'pets' on the property!
Their vast selection of fresh tropical / local / organic produce and health foods is soooo good , and their commitment to sourcing locally is impressive. It's clear that they truly care about the quality of their products and the impact their business has on the community.
To top it all off, their coffee is simply divine! I found myself savoring every sip and craving another cup as soon as I finished.
Overall, I cannot recommend Daintree Fan Palm Farm enough. If you're looking for a fantastic local produce and health foods store with amazing coffee and unbeatable customer service, look no further. Trust me, you won't be...

The pies are advertised on a chalk board, labeled as organic and cost 12$. Somehow that made me think they’d be homemade and something worth their money. However, they’re prefabricated „Byron Bay Gourmet Pies“ that are nothing special in taste and only cost 8$ elsewhere. It should have been a red flag that you couldn’t see the pies before buying them. I know it’s a remote location and everything, but 50% more seems a bit steep to me.
The palm fan trees and the walk are indeed nice, however the owner told us we’d get a beautiful 25-30min walk for 9$ a head, when in fact it was 15min even at a really leisurely walking pace. Again, I feel the price a bit steep. By the way, you can also see the pan fans on the free walks further up north the Daintree :)
In both cases I feel the advertisement suggested more than there was. Why not be a bit more honest about it, and then people may not be disappointed when they...

Why didn’t we find this gem earlier?! On our way to the airport with some time to spare, we stumbled across the Grand Fan Palm Farm – and what a find! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Peter and Gina, the lovely owners, who made us feel right at home.
Their specialty is organic pies, and they absolutely blew us away. I had the steak, bacon, and beef, while my partner went for the curry steak – both were perfection. The pastry was buttery and flaky, the fillings packed with flavour – truly to die for.
But the real showstopper? The coffee. Hands down the best we’ve ever had. So good, we bought two bags of beans to take home, and honestly, if we’d had room in our bags, we would’ve grabbed even more.
Do yourself a favour and don’t miss this little treasure – it’s worth every bite...
