FLIPPERS FISH & CHIPS — Restaurant in Queensland

AWESOME!!!! I'm fairly new to Bundy so thought I'd get out to try some more of the yokel local cuisine. Tried a good ole fashion burger a while back at another place but it just didn't measure up to my expectations. So, off I go looking for the best hamburger in town and found this fantastic place the other day.

Was greeted with smiles all round and friendly staff. Ordered the works burger and chips which doesn't 't sound too much right?! Picked up my order, complete with a little smiley face on the bag, hightailed it home to hook in to my goodies. The burger was massive and absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! Worked my way through the chips in between burger bites and although a bit of a challenge, managed to scoff it all down.

Absolutely recommend Flippers Fish & Chips on Sims Rd and am definitely going back to take on the next challenge.....the Bushman's Burger....

I don't often feel the need to leave a review of any description, but this one is warranted. It has been a good 5 years since being to flippers and wasn't I disappointed. Purchased a seafood basket and in all honesty this would be some of the worse take away seafood I've had my entire life. Chips were good, however every single thing else including the tartae sauce was basically uneatable for sooo many different reasons, now to top it off we are at home feeling awful. Really dropped the ball here, was once the best little shop. Please take this feedback into consideration and please do not serve anyone else those prawn cutlets or so called...

Update over 6 mths. Was of the few.......

Still of the few few joints where I have sampled over the last many years, the best chips, service and prices 99% of the time.

Ok, 1st visit, great. 2nd visit fish great, chips average. 3rd visit, fish like an old boot, chips good. 4th visit, admitted fish issues but no anything to make up for it! Still paid full price and at least the fish was ok, but not the chips.

5th and last visit, don't say I did not give them a fair try......fish ok, soggy chips.

Sorry, below average now - soggy chips kills it more than thrown away...
