Read moreWe had heard of this as a good spot for a food break but our experience was made utterly bitter by this lady on the counter brown eyes with kajal and hair tied up pony. She was very arrogant and had zero manners. Visit day/time: 10th April at 2:20pm. My 5 year old joined me for a loo break without my husband knowing and when he couldn’t find him next to him he panicked and quickly asked this lady at the counter if she had seen a little boy with yellow t shirt. She started shouting at my husband saying I don’t look after children, you should know where your son is. Go now and see if he is in the toilet, its kids like yours who fiddle with soap and things in the toilet bla bla bla. What did she mean by ‘children like yours’? My husband was shocked to hear all this, he was numb and didn’t know what to say. I came out and found him very upset 😢. He initially didn’t tell me but later he told me how badly the lady spoke to him 😢 and when I went inside to pass the message that he only asked for if he had seen our boy with the description but then she started shouting at me too saying she did the right thing and went inside the kitchen without letting me finish. I found this all very racist, we didn’t even eat our food and left. Will never return or recommend them to friends and family. I wish I could give no star and we had never chosen it...
Read moreFirst and last visit. Have been looking forward to a special treat after driving past for years. Went there today and what a disappointment. Hubby thought he would treat me to waffles with ice cream as I am a sweet tooth. We showed up at around 9:30am and ordered waffles with ice cream, custard, fruit, cream and sauce. It showed up on a very large plate with a few dollops of piped fake cream around the outer edge of the plate, a few small bits of 4 different fruits. About 1cmx1cm cubes. A line of custard around the inside of the outer edge if the plate. The waffles in the centre of the plate with one small scoop of ice cream on top. The waffles were about the size of a hamburger patty. The waffles were sickly sweet. It was like they sprinkled sugar in the waffle iron then poured the batter in and sprinkled sugar over the top of the batter then baked the waffles. They were crunchy on the outside and chewy softish centres but horribly sweet. $17.50 per plate was a bit extreme too. The shop was spacious inside with lots of local information pamphlets and photos. Seating inside and outside was nice. Lots of different flavoured ice creams and meals to choose from. We will not be going back...
