We had heard of this as a good spot for a food break but our experience was made utterly bitter by this lady on the counter brown eyes with kajal and hair tied up pony. She was very arrogant and had zero manners. Visit day/time: 10th April at 2:20pm. My 5 year old joined me for a loo break without my husband knowing and when he couldn’t find him next to him he panicked and quickly asked this lady at the counter if she had seen a little boy with yellow t shirt. She started shouting at my husband saying I don’t look after children, you should know where your son is. Go now and see if he is in the toilet, its kids like yours who fiddle with soap and things in the toilet bla bla bla. What did she mean by ‘children like yours’? My husband was shocked to hear all this, he was numb and didn’t know what to say. I came out and found him very upset 😢. He initially didn’t tell me but later he told me how badly the lady spoke to him 😢 and when I went inside to pass the message that he only asked for if he had seen our boy with the description but then she started shouting at me too saying she did the right thing and went inside the kitchen without letting me finish. I found this all very racist, we didn’t even eat our food and left. Will never return or recommend them to friends and family. I wish I could give no star and we had never chosen it...

First and last visit. Have been looking forward to a special treat after driving past for years. Went there today and what a disappointment. Hubby thought he would treat me to waffles with ice cream as I am a sweet tooth. We showed up at around 9:30am and ordered waffles with ice cream, custard, fruit, cream and sauce. It showed up on a very large plate with a few dollops of piped fake cream around the outer edge of the plate, a few small bits of 4 different fruits. About 1cmx1cm cubes. A line of custard around the inside of the outer edge if the plate. The waffles in the centre of the plate with one small scoop of ice cream on top. The waffles were about the size of a hamburger patty. The waffles were sickly sweet. It was like they sprinkled sugar in the waffle iron then poured the batter in and sprinkled sugar over the top of the batter then baked the waffles. They were crunchy on the outside and chewy softish centres but horribly sweet. $17.50 per plate was a bit extreme too. The shop was spacious inside with lots of local information pamphlets and photos. Seating inside and outside was nice. Lots of different flavoured ice creams and meals to choose from. We will not be going back...

Update: since the last trip they've put in a phone holder, so now you don't need to find a random person to take your photo with the Frosty Mango! 🥭 Headed in for some food however the staff were busy giggling and carrying on behind to take an order from myself or the other group of potential customers who were already waiting before I arrived. Overhead a child who left with their caregiver say "booo frosty 👎🏼 didn't get any mango". HUGE difference regarding customer service in comparison to previous visit. ----- Hot hot hot day. Humidity was high and rising. Spotted this beautiful Frosty Mango landmark from ages away. Easy parking. I guess the prices are relative to this being a tourist hotspot, off the highway.

It was a lovely place to visit. We ordered a ice cream.. No ticket.. it was written on a scrap bit of paper, $5.50 for a small cone.. the staff member very gently put it on the top not pushing it into the cone.. as we walk out it fell off the cone. Luck i caught it And pressed it with the palm of my hand.. Thank you for your reply, we did come back and the staff were Friendly and happy to replace the ice cream, had the Mango and Chocolate double ice cream. Absolutely delicious. Thank you, much appreciated. Cheers

Went to another mango place near Bowen, their frozen mango pulp did not compare... That being said I was bored of mango flavoured iced confectioneries so I opted for a green tea iced cream (bolingo or some other bizarre word). I was not disappointed, it was rather lovely and well balanced. The shop was rather busy but customers were served quickly. 4/5 would scran again Follow my food critic account @educulination on Instagram
