On our road trip from Kingaroy to Brisbane we stopped at German Bake & Wurst House. It's found inland from the Warrego Highway. The black and white German style cafe is found on the front part of the property. Keep an eye out for the small signs/ flags on the fence.
You're greeted by two lovely ladies. We ordered lunch and cake. There's clean public toilets and a covered patio area to eat and relax. Gardens had colourful bougainvillea flowers growing. We enjoyed the knackwurst and sauerkraut meals. The kids liked the sausage and the meatball roll. Lovely fresh bread. It was simple flavours and brought back memories of German holidays.

Read moreTucked away amongst a beautiful country setting with a delectable choice of savoury and sweet delights The German Bake & Wurst house is a unique culinary experience. I had the Knackwurst with sauerkraut, potato bake and coleslaw, for under $10. The combination of flavours complemented each other and was an absolute delight. Followed by the apple crumble with a dollop of cream that was not too rich nor again expensive, while my wife had the mocha cake. Service was sincerely hospitable and the dining area's décor complete with LED lights and photos added to the charm. I couldn't recommend this experience any higher and encourage all to pay a visit to enjoy this meticulously clean and distinctive German Bake &...
