Save yourself the time and don’t go! We had a reservation for a large party for a birthday which included young children. When we arrived there wasn’t enough seats for us all. Finally seated and we waited 30mins to be served and another 30 for the drinks to arrive. Checked on the status of the food after waiting an hour and the server literally walked away on us. Checked again and was told it would be ready soon. Another 30mins and was told it was almost done. People that arrived after us were receiving their food whilst we were still waiting. The table next to us ordered chips and they took almost a hour! Finally after waiting 2 hours we decided to leave and the lovely (joking, definitely not lovely, actually very rude!) manager told us our food was half done. We told her we can’t wait any longer it’s been over 2 hours. She then started berating us on the footpath before telling us very sarcastically to have a great day and walked off. The drinks we had were the worst we’ve ever received. The kids were give cups of watered down juice which was mostly ice, the lemon lime and bitters was from a bottle, the vodka lime and soda was made on tap water, and the wine was not even a “small” more like a thimble. Through all this hoopla we skipped out on paying for the drinks (by accident as we were berated and walked away on!) and the not so nice manager I mentioned earlier, we’ll she phoned my mother about twenty minutes later (as she gave her the number when booking) and told her to pay for the drinks or they would be pursuing her legally. Honestly such a disappointing experience which was made even worse by the way we were treated. Do yourself a favour...

Very disappointing. Apart from delicious bread/bruschetta for starters, our group of 12 ( Christmas function) had very similar thoughts on the main meals - bland, no flavour. Seafood parcels lacked even basic salt, and were a huge letdown. The angus beef burger was tiny, with a plate filled with chips( fries). Calamari salad was described as very ordinary. The "ice-cream" that came with the one and only dessert order, was literally a puddle - similar to a small bowl of pouring cream. But the service was the biggest disappointment of all. A busy Sunday afternoon staffed by inexperienced juniors who appeared to have little supervision or guidance. The young staff were friendly, and trying their best, but they needed to be aided by some more senior staff. Unable to go to the bar to order our drinks (due to Covid apparently- even though that doesn't seem to apply at most venues now), we waited in excess of 45 minutes between staff attending our table. The lack of table service over the few hours we were there, probably cost them a couple of hundred $ in drink sales. . The bar does not offer cocktails of any sort - not even a basic one, which was a bit disappointing , but not a disaster by any means, but they ran out of vodka mid afternoon, and also the beer that most of our party were drinking. The "senior" lady at the front of house was extremely unwelcoming. I have been to Goody's years ago, and it was a much more memorable and pleasant experience, than that we had this time around. DO NOT GO HERE! We went to celebrate a friend's birthday & from the time our group arrived we were treated with contempt! They behaved as if they were doing us a favour! A few of the orders arrived after about 10 - 15 minutes but the rest took almost an hour. My husband's meal was almost cold and considering I ordered one of their salad meals having to wait almost an hour was ridiculous! It was totally dark and with no light I couldn't even see what I was eating. Salad was very disappointing... Barely edible. Waitress was aggressive. There were very few others to serve so the only reason I can see for the delay is that they deliberately held up our order. We were charged top dollar for mediocre meals. As we were leaving we voiced our opinions to be treated once more with contempt! No attempt to apologise for anything! I asked had she ever been told the customer is always right & she only snapped back, "yeah, & we're always wrong "! I'm not a complainer, but I have never felt so angry! I've worked in many restaurants over the years and I would have been sacked if I spoke to a customer in this fashion! It was a Friday night but there was no entertainment. Neither would they let us move some tables together so our group could be together! Such a shame as its local for all of us & the view is beautiful. I can't see them surviving when they treat people like this! I know all 17 of us will NEVER GO BACK! We will also be letting others of our experience!
