What can I say “great success”. Last Saturday 2 December 2022 night we went here for dinner, celebrating our 42 wedding anniversary. We were welcomed by a very friendly and knowledgeable young waiter, we were taken to our table and settled in for the evening. He explained all the food available, what it was, how it was made etc. fantastic. We chose a shared entree; Hinterland charcuterie board - cured meat, duck pate, Italian dip, fresh bread and cheese stick. For mains my wife had house made fettuccine with roasted duck and wood ear mushrooms. I had the Miso braised pork belly with fresh vegetables and coconut rice. For dessert we had each a cappuccino and an apple tart tatin with vanilla bean ice cream. The shared entree; wow, if you want your tastebuds to be woken up, we highly recommend this entree. The fettuccine dish; absolutely wow, will be my choice next time. The braised pork belly; beautiful, the vegetables so fresh and tasty, the rice is so tasty and the pork belly is to die for - note: not everyone will appreciate braised pork belly due to the layer of pork fat, I personally loved it. The dessert; in one word DIVINE - the one thing were they dropped the ball was the cappuccinos, as true coffee drinkers this was more or less foam on top of warm milk. Did I mention that everything is handmade by the owner of Hinterland restaurant in Cooran. Recap: Location: Good *** Parking: Good *** Disabled access: ** a bit difficult especially when wheelchair bound or having difficulty with walking . Food: ***** Dessert: ***** Coffee: ** Price: $$ Customer Service: ***** Will return: YES, we sure will.

Honestly pretty disappointed. I ordered these fries and cost me 12 bucks and for 12 bucks they r the smallest serving of fries I have ever received. I was also told that their fries along with other foods from this restaurant are from freezer bags! Definitely won’t be returning after hearing that

I have lived minutes away for years and have only just tried the food and WOW!! Hands down the best on the coast. What an amazing, hidden gem. The staff and Dion, the owner are exceptional, so knowledgeable and welcoming and the food was mind-blowing.

I love when a great story translates to a great experience.

Just happened upon this place whilst ravenous with an hour to kill.

Nice vibe, low lights, great chilled music, menu looked good so I ordered. Hard to decide but chose a burger... mushroom & pecan I think....and a coffee.

That's where the story comes in. Ethan - waiter & son of owners - filled me I on the family farm down the road, 74 acres that provides the home grown pork & bacon, Dad the head waiter & manager, Mum the head chef.

Great chat with a lovely young fella.

Burger was fantastic! Coffee delicious!

Was so engrossed in the chat I almost walked out without paying & Ethan handled that potentially uncomfortable situation with true professionalism.

People who live around here know that it can be a bit like Fukushima at night! Great to know when I need a good feed I don't need to race into Pomona by 8pm, as this food is excellent & healthy & hearty fare and open most nights till 10 ish.

Highly...

Came here on a Saturday night with our toddler.

A cozy vibe with a bit of a rustic country flavour, the atmosphere warmed up beautifully as the restaurant filled.

The staff were lovely from the outset, with pencils and colouring and welcoming attitudes for our little munchkin. Also just generally very friendly and accommodating, adding to our lovely evening!

The food was Exceptional! Just the list of ingredients tells you this is going to be good, and my goodness it was. When ingredients and flavour are that high quality, they fill you up more, and we definitely had to take leftovers home.

Our little foodie loved trying the hand made fettuccine and the vego pizza (especially the olives). And the chutney and other elements of the charcuterie board were also huge hits with him!

Bathrooms out the back also provided a diverting adventure when he got a bit bored.

We will hopefully be back soon! (Sorry no photos as I...
