HSG At The Gardens — Restaurant in Queensland

Attended the recent "food and funnies" night with a hilarious reenactment of 'The Princess Bride'. For a start, the welcome drinks were in an elegant outdoor area, nicely warmed against the autumn chill, and with a view of the lovely gardens. Then we went into a beautifully decorated room, met fascinating people at our table and enjoyed a three act play (which was seriously funny) broken up by delivery of the main course and then dessert. My main was a delicious vegetarian dish of roast vegetables and quinoa with some sensational flavours, followed by a generous serving of sticky date pudding and more butterscotch sauce than I could possibly use. It was the best vegetarian meal I've had in a Bundaberg restaurant, and I would have paid the same amount just for the show, it was that good. So the entry fee was very reasonable. We recently held our staff Christmas party with HSG at the Gardens, the day was effortless and Dion and his team provided excellent service.

We tried their new open fire pit concept and can not recommend it any higher, the whole team loved it! The slow cooked chicken, beef and pork hung over hot open fire was tender and delicious (the word divine was also thrown in from the team). The selection of decadent desserts complemented the meal at the end. Dion also made sure that our special dietary requirements were looked after and that the food was still just a delicious.

HSG at the Gardens has a good selection of wines, spirits, beer (and non-alcoholic drinks) to get any party going!

The HSG garden setting also provided a great atmosphere and picturesque space for party games and was enjoyed by all.
