Stanthorpe Cheese and Jersey Girls Cafe was a discovery off some maps and searches. The menu sounded great. I particularly appreciated that I could get a Ploughman’s lunch for one. Overall the platter was very good in terms of the variety of vegetables and relishes, in addition to fruit. However, it was disappointing that wafer thin processed supermarket ham was used along with highly processed sausage meat. It would be great to see these two products replaced with some quality smoked ham and salami. This would really enhance the experience. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his triple cheese toastie. Whist simple it was very well balanced and perfectly cheesie! It was also positive to see one of the team acknowledge that they didn’t know the answer to a question about a particular type of cheese curd and seek assistance. Unfortunately while we were eating our lunch there was some shouting and door slamming that occurred in the kitchen. This is a professional environment I have experience in. I was disappointed by this and hope that it doesn’t occur frequently or again.

Not what I was expecting. Overall okay, bought the $5 cheese tasting platter which was worth it, as a result we bought three or four cheeses. Buy the Jamworks products direct from Jamworks it's cheaper. The service was excellent.

A quaint little cafe with plenty of cheese, both in quantity and variety. I enjoyed the cheeseboard and sampling the many varieties on offer. Worth checking out if you like cheese and are passing through.

I try to support local business however my AM tea here was disappointing… $7 for ONE pumpkin scone a bit over the top. Tea was extra.. $3.50 I sat outside next to the wood stove at a table which was full of dirty dishes covered in flies. I asked them to be taken away which they were… no attempt to wipe clean the table of the previous diners food crumbs ? One of my pet peeves… even after Covid hygiene is not good here. Upon arrival there was dog poo in the carpark… this should have been my clue to go elsewhere… a sign said they are not responsible for flies as it is ”outdoors”… another sign said keep your pets off the sofa as dog hair may cause allergies. Seriously? Why are dogs allowed in the dining area in the first instance?

$7 for my ONE scone which when I asked if it was freshly baked they admitted it was frozen and reheated., I will not be back. Gotta do better than this.

I did buy some cheeses but have not...

Food was amazing (cheese plater for 2) but service unfortunately was poor took them 25 mins to make a plater and all you could see was them eating the whole time and they werent busy and when the plater finally came out the bread wasnt even ready due to them being to busy eating so still had to wait for it and just before we finished the plater the young man in the kitchen swore and the whole restaurant heard it even my kids. The first time we visited a year ago was perfect no faults but...
