Maidenwell Trading Post — Restaurant in Queensland

After reading such good reviews, I was surprised how poor the service was, and the quality of breakfast was very poor. One of our meals came out and girl was gone in a flash and we didn't have time to ask where cutlery, salt etc was... We had to get up and go searching... Both meals were very dry and very boring and difficult to eat.. On a plus, I asked for some jam which was given by a lovely lady free of charge. Some of their home-made cakes are delicious but please don't buy unless it looks fresh. I bought a cheesecake slice a few days earlier as a takeaway and it was really too old to be selling... I think it sat uncovered in their cake cabinet...

The people working service are absolutley wonderful. I didnt see fish on the menu so they looked if they had any, served up some Kamari rings for us.

Then apolagised for not having icecream for the spider or kids pancakes we ordered, refunded $2. Then even offered to put flacored sauce on the kids pancakes.

The kids said the pancakes were Amazing.

I got the chicken burger, kalamari rings amd chips. Its just frozen food reheated but it still tasted good and was a good snack just after visiting the waterhole. This is surely the place to eat...

Just stopped in here for a coffee. What a friendly little place. Had the most delicious unusual home-made sausage roll full of vegetables and corn beef and one of the best carrot cakes we’ve had in a really long time.
