Prepare yourself for an appalling adventure into the depths of fast-food despair at the McDonald's on Gatton Highway. This establishment is not just a disappointment; it is a culinary nightmare that should be avoided at all costs.
From the moment you step into this dreadful excuse for a restaurant, you are greeted by an atmosphere of chaos and neglect. The floors are sticky with the residue of countless spills, and the tables are perpetually littered with the remnants of previous diners' meals. The air is thick with the stench of grease and despair, making it an immediate assault on your senses.
The service here is nothing short of abysmal. The staff seem to be in a perpetual state of disarray, moving with the urgency of a snail and the enthusiasm of a brick wall. Orders are consistently wrong, and the wait time is interminable, even when the restaurant is nearly empty. When you finally do receive your food, it's often cold, stale, and a far cry from what you actually ordered.
Now, let's talk about the food—if you can call it that. The Big Mac, which should be a staple of fast-food perfection, is a soggy, lifeless mess. The patties are dry and tasteless, the lettuce is wilted, the pickles are rubbery, and the bun is a sad, squished afterthought. Each bite is a reminder of the poor decisions that led you to this point.
The fries are another disaster. Instead of the golden, crispy perfection you'd expect, they are limp, greasy, and under-seasoned. They arrive either cold or with the texture of cardboard, leaving you wondering how something so simple can be so thoroughly ruined.
The McNuggets are equally disheartening. What should be juicy, tender bites of chicken are instead dry, flavorless chunks that are almost impossible to choke down. The sauces, when available, do little to mask the sheer awfulness of the nuggets themselves.
The McCafé is a travesty in its own right. The coffee is weak, bitter, and often tastes burnt. Any attempt at more sophisticated drinks, like lattes or cappuccinos, results in a sad, watery concoction that is both overpriced and undrinkable.
Cleanliness is clearly not a priority at this location. The bathrooms are a horror show, with overflowing trash bins, unflushed toilets, and a general state of filth that is both shocking and unacceptable.
In conclusion, the McDonald's on Gatton Highway is a disgrace to the golden arches. It fails on every conceivable level, from service to food quality to cleanliness. Each visit is a journey into the heart of fast-food darkness, a reminder that sometimes, the convenience of fast food is simply not worth the cost. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this McDonald's like the plague. Your stomach—and your...

Ordered through the maccas app and went through drive through. Was told to go to the waiting bay, I dont think they understand the concept fast food as we waited there for more than 20 minutes, we where starting to think they forgot we were there. Finally someone came over to hand us our food with no apology for the wait. When we open it up it was all wrong and missing items. We ordered 2x chrispy chicken meals with orange juice and we got 4x chrispy chicken burgers and no orange juice and not sweet n sour sauces that were ordered. Had to get out and walk into the store which defeats the whole purpose of going through drive through. I don't know what took so long in the first place as the restaurant was basically empty. I stood at the counter with the 2 extra burgers to return for quite a few minutes with no one come to serve me. I noticed one worker who had a headset, noticed me waiting there and another handling the food starting to amusingly argue between them selves who was going to come over to me to see what was wrong. Finally after leaving me hanging or a while one came over and said rudely " what's up ?" I proceeded to tell her the problem where again no apology was made before walking off I assumed to get the orange juice. She never returned and I waited there for another 5 minutes before I noticed the guy handling food put 2 drinks on the counter and walked off without saying anything. Having no idea if they where mine (although there was no one else standing there) I asked another worker who came out if they were mine and she said she wasn't sure so went off to get 2 more. After finally receiving my drinks I walked back to the car after about 30 mins of this whole ordeal only to find out that my daughters meal was also wrong and had Mayo on the burger when I specifically deleted the Mayo when I ordered on the app.
We will never stop at this Maccas again . Very...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. We had a HUGE day of driving with a horse float on today. So after about 5 hours in the car we pulled in and my husband parked in the driveway. I went in and instantly noticed the dismay of the store. Rubbish everywhere, bins over flowing, and a very large line of unhappy looking people.
I ordered my meal on the kiosk and then had to pay at the counter. When paying I was given a different number to the print out from kiosk.
Whilst waiting, I heard the manager "Grey" be incredibly rude to a number of customers, obviously not handling the pressure well. Comments "well did you order it?", "I was going to say your coffee was coming if you let me finish" and "I can only do one thing at a time" in a very rude tone to three separate people. I gave them some grace seeing as it was noticeably busy, however after waiting 20 minutes, I asked someone if they could check on my order. I was told it was being made right now. 10 minutes after this, I asked the manager if she could follow up as it had been 30 minutes. I was holding the recipe to show order number and she said "I can't see it" and "well what was in it". She then told me she couldn't find my order and would make it now. As I was at the counter another customer said they provided an iced latte instead of a normal latte and Grey rudely grabbed another coffee and put it in front of the woman. When the woman made a comment Grey yelled from the back "well if the bothered to give us staff"....
So just don't bother. Added 30 minutes to our already long day for a "fast food" outlet. Maccas I hope you rethink your...
