MJ's on Boyne — Restaurant in Queensland

My partner and I arrived at MJs never been here before. Walk in and a very loud girl approached us saying hello, telling us the specials. We ordered the flake battered. Sat outside waiting and the whole eating area stunk of bin and rubbish. The loud girl came out and offered a fresh cold beverage to us assuming as a complementary drink. When I asked if it was she said no, so I declined. I went in to ask for our food take away and she was in the back speaking very rudely about me loud enough for everyone to hear. The fish and batter was the most blandest tasting fish I have ever eaten. The batter was like skin and soggy burnt. Never going here again. At least Fordys on Tank Street is better fish, better staff, all around way better...

Hi guys , Tonight got a hot tip to go to mjs for fish and chips and we were very disappointed From the start the girl on the phone had no idea what she was doing then get the shock at how expensive it is here for fish and chips and for didn't order also $9.50 for a sweet lips way to expensive and under cooked !! Also asked for 6 x battered scallops and we're burnt and breadcrumbs but wait 1 was calamari what the !! Chips soggy were disgusting Potato cakes were raw To spend $56.00 and not eat most of it was a joke !! Sorry I wouldn't give you a star at all but it won't let us do a review so your lucky you got one And to watch the cook eating and licking their fingers out the back ain't a good look either Very disappointed...

28/12/22. Called to place an order & was told 25 mins as they were a little busy, cool no probs. Turned up at 25 mins paid for the food & grabbed 2 drinks they said only another 10 mins away for your order. 50 mins later got our food, I would have placed drinks back into fridge if I knew it was going to take so long. We drive over to the beautiful beach at tannum sands to eat & the fish was almost burnt crumbs we extremely cooked fish was pretty dry & hard on the edges, chips were very blonde & soggy. Only decent bit of the whole meal costing us $ 50 was the 2 potato scallops & 4 calamari. Sorry but I won't be back to be highly...
