Mother's Pantry — Restaurant in Queensland

This is a really good example of a so called 'greasy spoon' with all that comes with it. Very good food and a huge range butt up against long wait times at peak and some varying quality of food preparation. A good example of this is the fish which had ranged over the last two years from just ok to some of the best in Mackay and then now back down to pretty poor. The staff are generally fast and friendly and the prices are fine, although the meal deals can sometimes feel a bit less like a 'deal' and more of just a pricing gimmick for getting a drink with your food. Recently had to get lunch from Mother's Pantry. There was nothing on the menu board, only premade beef or chicken burgers and a small assortment of deep fried food in the bain-marie.

Don't know if they were having supply or kitchen issues and this was the result, or if this is now their "normal".

The radio was playing extremely loudly that it was also hard to hear the questions I was being asked by the employee.
