I was born in Sao Paulo (Brazil) - over 20 million people in one city. 40 years later, here I am, literally on the other side of the world having a fantastic night at this gorgeous establishment. Can't go wrong with good pub food and cold beers Good service and lovely people Will definitely come back

Great little character filled pub that serves up welcoming hospitality and great meals. Steaks were cooked as ordered (a proper rare like any good steak should be) with the salad and chips fresh and welcome additions. Come by and give it a crack for a drink, a meal, or better yet, both.

Interestingly, the place seems to have good reviews. But our experience wasn’t that great. It is ok for drinks but We were told, You could order pizzas and fish basket only. Kids meals $12 😔

What a great country pub, true blue experience. First and foremost I have to mention, Dave and Robin, who have run the Mt. Alford Pub since 2006. It also sells groceries and local produce at times. The local organic pecans deserve a mention as they were amazing. We happend accross the Mt Alford pub day driving around the Senic rim looking for lunch, sat at the counter and enjoyed a nice counter meal. While we enjoyed our pub feed, we were truely entertained by the locals stories and the throwing of banterous comments back and forth across the bar as Dave and Rob laughed and very rapidly retorted. We ended up losing track of time and were pleasently rewarded by the amazing reds and pinks that beamed across the green sand stone hills as the sun set. We will be arranging a longer stay next time we come through....

Having been to this venue twice and having had the same experience both times, I can only say that I am disappointed by the kitchen service and the food. On both occasions I was first in line to place my lunch order at the counter (no ‘special’ requirements) and both times I was made to wait while twenty diners who placed their orders after I did were served before me. Some even had the same order as mine. No ‘big deal’ but it shouldn’t happen once let alone twice. Meals should be served on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. When my meal arrived the ‘ribs’ were undercooked. Great atmosphere, and courteous staff, but the kitchen...

Honestly you don't expect much from this little brick building. In fact we thought it might be a bit rough. But step inside and the hosts are so friendly, the place is clean and full of humour, antiques and good vibes. Asking for a wine in a country Pub can be a bit daunting but not here. We ended up with two nice reds and some simply great value, delicious food. Cooked beautifully and giving hope to high quality, simple country cooking. We LOVE this place and will look for excuses to get back here. If you are driving through Mt Alford....don't hesitate....STOP and...
