Newell Beach Takeaway and Cafe — Restaurant in Queensland

Had heard on the grapevine that this place was good, but it was much better than that. I ordered the full pork ribs and you couldn’t get better at a 5 star restaurant, and I am dead serious about that. The ribs are like those big USA style ribs and it was so tender and juicy that the bones just pulled straight out of the meat 🤪 they were unbelievable. When you order the full rib you also get coleslaw and chips and you could easily feed 2 to 3 people from this meal, it’s huge. My wife brought the crumbed sea scallops and they were amazing, you know when you bite into them and you always seem to get a bit of water trapped inside. Newell Beach Cafe is worth the detour. Owner operated, so they care. Takeaway menu is great. If they have local fish in, go for it, delicious. And they know how to cook it. Great fish and chips, and pizza available after 5pm. Easy out front parking, van parking across the road in a picturesque beach front park with public toilets, picnic tables and plenty of shade.
