We visited this beautiful and quirky restaurant for the first time and had a cute welcome note on our reserved table. The staff was very welcoming and friendly in comparison to the mature lady behind the counter (just guessing it was the owner or manager?) who was typing on her phone sideways, totally ignoring us (not even a nod or making eye contact) as we were waiting for the wonderful employee who then took our order as soon as she came back from the table service 😃 We ordered the cauliflower pops and jalapeño pops as an entree to share….both fantastic entrees and if you like spicy, the jalapeño pos are perfect! Mum even got the hiccups 😂 the cauliflower pops were a MOUNTAIN of food and of fantastic value!! The 2 entrees alone were actually enough food between us 3 already 😄 As mains we ordered Chimichanga and Enchiladas which were unfortunately VERY bland (we don’t like salt but it was definitely missing !) It was just a mash (kind of baby food) without any kind of texture or ‚special‘ taste…we couldn’t even taste the cheese, the chicken was very dry (even within all that mash and guessing it had been pre cooked and reheated) and had only a tiny drizzle of sour cream on top (would have been better on the side) but not to waste them we got a take away container and took them home. The next day we put some seasoning on everything….pepper and a tiny bit of salt, tomato salsa, tasty cheese and sour cream on the side and totally enjoyed our leftover meals together which was plenty!! 🤩 We won’t order these again but will be definitely be back for the pizzas as they looked SUPER crunchy and delicious!!!🤤😋 Special thanks to the...
Read moreI recently relocated from Brisbane and was having a pity party over leaving behind my favourite mexican restaurant. My partner did a quick google search and the Pizza Loca Cantina popped up. It was a bit difficult to find at first as it’s not in the main strip but once we got there the ambiance was electric. The place was packed and many of the tables were already reserved. However, the nice young man at the bar was able to free up a place for us. My partner and I ordered beef tacos, chilli con carne fries, and a chicken chimichanga. I’m almost embarrassed to say I ate my tacos so quickly I didn’t even have time to think of taking a photo. I usually am not a fan of loaded fries but the chilli con carne were absolutely delicious. The female server with short blonde hair was very cheery and approachable. All the other customers seemed to be having an absolute blast. The restaurant definitely seems to be one of those hidden gems the locals don’t want you to find. Will definitely...
Read moreVery disappointed. Really want this place to be better than it is. The food is great the service is disgraceful. We are weekly regulars. A group of up to 12 people. Every week without fail a meal is forgotten. The Docket goes missing. Instead of the owner recognising the error and trying to right the situation she is dismissive and sends her foreign casual waitstaff to deal with the customer. Tonight we went up four times to ask where our 8 year olds Ham and cheese pizza was. Over two hours from time ordered. Then instead of apologising on our departure she hides away in the back corner. Look I understand mistakes can be made, but weekly and no apology? Please sell this business because with organisation, a person just on serving drinks, a qr code for food and this place would be making a mint. It really is a missed opportunity and you've just lost 12 regulars because you were too rude to admit your error or even send out fries for a starving little boy whose played footy...
