Ridges Bar & Bistro — Restaurant in Queensland

My sister, dad, his partner and my grandfather went for lunch at this restaurant and were treated so unprofessionally by the staff. My dad ordered garlic prawns for his partner and when the food came out she was given some squid/prawn/noodle dish instead. When they said that it was the wrong dish the server took it away and came back with the receipt saying they had ordered this other dish. My dad confirmed they had ordered the garlic prawns and it must have been put through incorrectly. Instead of simply apologising for the confusion and getting her the correct dish, the server then went and got their supervisor who came over to table holding the receipt and who then proceeded to make a scene in the middle of the restaurant.

The supervisor stated my family was in the wrong and that the chefs refused to make her the garlic prawns. My family then said they wanted a refund and would leave because of this attitude from the staff. At this point my dad walked off because he was fed up with listening to this rude supervisor.

I want to make it very clear that this treatment of my family was absolutely unacceptable. Our nan had just passed away and they had spent the day before at her funeral, they then had to put up with this treatment and were frankly emotionally distressed and embarrassed.

Great place to go for a meal. Lots of seating with great views across the courses. Large range of meals, although good to check the menu first if you are vegetarian. Would not recommend for vegans. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of parking on the ground....
