Room 9 Food and Beverage Bar — Restaurant in Queensland

To be honest, not really happy with the experience. I ordered a meal that included eggs; on the menu it specifically quotes “two eggs ‘your way;’” however the teenage girl at the counter didn’t even bother to ask how I wanted the eggs cooked. I’m pretty flexible most of the time, but I at least expected the eggs to be cooked somewhat thoroughly, not just straight up raw chicken embryo on a plate. When I recieved my eggs, I asked if it was possible to chuck them on the grill for a bit longer as I like to have my eggs cooked properly, and of course they came up with this lame excuse why they couldn’t do that. I thought it would have been an easy task to just take the eggs away & cook them a bit longer, but apparently that’s too much of an inconvenience for the staff. I know it was a tad busier around this time but I really didn’t feel like I was asking for much. It appeared that the people running the joint at the time were young teenagers with somewhat little experience in the food industry. The only other complaint I have was that I also had some hollandaise sauce with my meal. I don’t know whether they actually make the hollandaise sauce fresh themselves, or just heat up a premade generic brand packet, but it was probably one of the worst holandaise sauces I’ve ever tasted. If you guys are making the sauce yourselves, you are using WAY TOO MUCH BUTTER. Seriously. To me it literally just tasted like a melted block of butter. The flavour was so overwhelming that I couldn’t even finish it. If you guys buy the sauce premade, I suggest you purchase a different brand, cause that stuff was awful. The rest of the food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t exactly outstanding. I think the business could do a lot better when it comes to training their staff. However, they were fairly polite, and weren’t rude about anything which was good. Sorry guys, gonna have to give 1 star this time :( I hope this feedback proves...

Employees at this cafe strongly need some lessons in customer service. Not one smile, lots of sighing and grumpy looks, all because they “wanted to be closed by 1:30 today”. If you’re open until 1:30pm, then you serve people until 1:30pm. Both of our orders were not what we ordered but I think going back in and politely bringing this to their attention would’ve severely put these employees out.
