Front counter staff were sooo rude, gave our table to someone else after we ordered at 7.24pm and was told at least an hour wait and you better order now before it’s a two hour wait, which we didn’t mind, so we ordered, came to $89 went to our table number, put knives and forks down and went to the bar to get a drink, as we were told it would be at least an hour, we had a walk around, checked our table around 8pm, again at 8.15pm and someone else was sitting at our table.. asked the front counter why is someone at our table and where our food was, the response was “well your foods been sitting here for half an hour and you should have been at your table” we weren’t given a buzzer, and no one told us our food was ready, being told at LEAST an hour wait, the bar was busy, we only had two drinks, and it hadn’t even been an hour, the girl then put us at a different table, after another 15min or so she plonked a soup down and said “there’s your soup!” Which was the wrong soup and was the soup for the people sitting at our other table, when we took it back up to the counter and told them they just rolled their eyes TOOK THE SPOON OUT AND PUT A NEW SPOON IN AND TOOK IT TO THE OTHER TABLE!! By this time another 1/2 hour had passed and we still had no food, after being told it was ready as it had been sitting there for ‘over half an hour’ my fiend was getting frustrated, as I was too by this time, some language was exchanged on both ends counter staff back chatting, totally disrespectful ect, and security came, told him to leave, without even asking what was going on, as all he was wanting to know where our food was, the staff at counter said “it’s there” was all in takeaway dishes and a bag!! SITTING AT THE COUNTER WHILE WE HAD STILL BEEN SITTING AT OUR TABLE waiting (It had now been cooked for about an hour) so We asked for a refund, we were refunded $89 and she replied, “there. You have your food AND a refund!” Unbelievable, we had been going there for over 3 years, never had an issue, never minded waiting service used to be really good, not any more. Will NEVER go back l, such a shame for a small country club Chinese restaurant that used to be really good. The staff could have and should have handled that situation soo differently, instead of being rude and disrespectful to paying customers. Disgusting service from both girls at the...

Decided to have dinner for my birthday last Sunday night at this bowls club. One steak sent back to kitchen to be cooked further, still came back under done to what was ordered. Both steaks were apparently the last 2 steaks left, both steaks were tuff and priced too high for quality. Pasta marinara had 2 prawns in whole dish. Caesar salad was simply Cos lettuce, dressing bacon and cheese(where were the croutons, egg and anchovies)asked waitress if I could have prawns with that, chef said "no," with no reason given. Waitress overheard our complaints and asked why we didn't enjoy our meal. She was told reasons and then explained that they were short on prawns which is why only 2 in the pasta dish and why I wasn't allowed to have prawns on mine. Think we should have been advised if they were short and maybe we could have ordered something else. One steak became dog food the other didn't get eaten, waitress was asked to tell chef our complaints. Well then there was the bus ride home, with a bunch of drunks! One of your regulars had taken her glass of beer on the bus which seemed to be ok...

ZERO STAR RATING

First time visiting. Young staff had no people skills and infact there were a few comments from people waiting to be served who made similar comments on how rude the girls were. My partner and I asked if there were any tables vacant. Told by young girl staff to quote " Go and find a spare table if you are lucky." No effort was made, to make us feel welcome at all. Eventually found table 4 to be vacant. Then went up to counter to make an order. Only to be told rudely you'll have to wait an hour before you receive your meal. Another lady behind me said gosh she has no people skills at all. We got up and walked out in total disgust.

Hope senior management get to read this . Perhaps you need to teach your young female staff some courtesy, manners and people skills and perhaps more organising in the kitchen. We even told the lady behind reception on the way out that we were not impressed. Care factor zero.

WE GIVE NO STAR RATINGS Avoid this place and go somewhere else that makes you feel welcome with properly trained staff that have manners. Had to give 1 star to get...

The Nest Bistro at the Tin Can Bay Country Club offers some of the most delicious Chinese food you’re likely to find, this side of Shanghai 🍚 It’s a very popular restaurant and it pays to book a table for Friday & Saturday nights. However, should you forget, meals can also be enjoyed in the adjacent lounge bar area 🍺 The kitchen is incredibly busy, the staff are friendly & efficient and your meals will arrive promptly Best of all, every dish we’ve enjoyed at this great venue, has been delicious 😋 There’s a large off street car park and no stairs into the club. Drinks are at club prices with the usual keno, pokies and TAB facilities Highly recommended for an outstanding meal in a great club environment 🏆

We ate at the Chinese restaurant. Although it was tasty, the satay vegetables had not been heated through, some were warm, most were cool/ cold also this was the first dish to arrive at our table. The duck was tasty as was the rainbow beef although both of us had tummy problems the next day. They have a good selection of very affordable wines at the bar. We enjoyed the country and western singer and there was a dance floor that was popular. I would have rated them better but for the tummy the next day. It wasn't really bad but still off-putting.

Good Chinese food at the Country Club. Closing times can vary because it's a small place. Nice golf course and bowling greens. Tin Can Bay's a great place for boating and fishing, not a place for those who like to shop. Not a great deal to do. Check out the dolphin feeding at the boat harbour around 7:30 in the mornings. Had a good breakfast there. Some good photo opportunities early mornings and afternoons around the bay, but take a good insect repellent. Check out the Snack Shack for great seafood and burger takeaways.
