Yodthai has the most amazing chicken wings, every week I order a dozen or more and they disappear quickly - the family just love them. The lunchtime special is such good value and it's a meal for 2 ! I especially love the mussaman beef , medium hot , with potato. 5 stars !!!!

It’s now 12 months since I posted this review and I’m still coming back regularly as the food is so fresh and delicious ! I mostly take out and we eat at home. It comes in the regular takeaway containers but they also use glad wrap which helps keep hot but more importantly prevents spills in the car. I love the yellow chicken curry ( tip : it could use some more potato and carrot and perhaps the addition of green beans to beef it up but that’s just a personal preference). The entrees are superb. It’s a very busy restaurant now and peak hours expect a 20 minute wait but certainly worth it!

I decided to eat in for the lunch special today at midday. I ordered the cashew queen (stir fry with chicken, pork or beef with a serve of rice). It was sensational! It is terrific value at $13.50 . I've always gone for a take-out but after today I'm eating in as well. A wonderful experience, very quiet and relaxed as its tucked away at the back of the middle ridge...

This is a delayed review, Google prompted me and I was rather remiss in not reviewing on our last visit. My wife intensely dislikes Thai food - but given it was my birthday she graciously booked us in.

Seated quickly by friendly staff. Let's get the negative out of the way - the front door was chocked open which on a rather cold winter's night with a draft was somewhat bothersome (we had lit the oil furnace at home to keep the furkids warm prior to leaving). This mob was busy - takeaway and delivery were doing a brisk service. This delayed our meals but patience brings reward.

Tom Yum is a bellwether dish of mine in Thai restaurants, ordered "hot". You may as well hook this up to an IV it was that great. Hit all the notes of sweet, sour, salty and spicy that great Thai cuisine is known for.

The Panang curry was a little lost in terms of identity - pale in colour and somewhat wishy-washy in flavour. More chilli would have arguably turned this into a fantastic dish. My wife enjoyed her dish even though it was "spicy"...

I have been waiting to find an amazing Thai in Toowoomba and this is it! The sweetest owner ever and the staff are lovely. I am obsessed with their pad see ew and beef Massaman curry! I had it for lunch and was so excited by the flavour, the generous serve and the authentic taste that my husband said “would you like me to get it for dinner as well?” Lol, inside I was like YES! It was really good. Coming from Sydney it has been a challenge to find a good Thai here and we are so happy to have found the lucky winner! Small restaurant, but we usually like to eat take-away anyway. Been twice now and will continue to eat here. Also- Best prawn crackers I’ve ever had too! The oil is sooo clean and the crackers come out so pink and perfect! Very happy with our experience. I might just order some...

Update: A hot tip; Try the beef Khao soi. A specialty from Northern Thailand, mastered by Zizi and Nick. 😋 Best authentic Thai food in Darling downs. I've been all over Thailland from the Northern regions to the south. Yodthai really makes it fresh and incredibly mouthwatering. The atmosphere and the service is also spot on. You can ask for mild or super Thai spicy and you get what you ask for. Simply the best. PS. Try the Khao soi...Dish from Northern Thailand, Chang mai area. Nick really nails this dish as well as his specialty duck curry. Zizi makes their Northen Thai sausage...omg...soooo good as an apetizer or main dish. It's on the special menu. 😋

Searching the cloud for an option to have Thai food for lunch, I came across this restaurant that has no more than 100 reviews with 4.8 stars… so I decided to give it a try and see how it goes and I have to tell you guys that it is one of the best Thai restaurants in Toowomba , simple venue, with a warmth and marvellous attention offered directly by owners, and each dish served has its own characteristic that makes it unique, and even the balance between them was perfect. There is nothing left to say, give it a try..! IG: jvchongchef
